    To answer your comments: First nobody puts their name to this survey, if you fill it in I have no idea who you are the closest I come to knowing this is the part of the country you are from it is completely anonymous. Second several have answered that they use gassing/poisoning as a method of killing, leaving this out of the survey would therefore give the wrong results. I am not trying to judge people who do this or take legal actions I am only trying to give a representation of fox hunting, this may include illegal methods. Gassing is in itself not illegal the problem is finding a poison

    Sorry I do not know this, I know that before the ban hunting with hounds culled 21,000-25,000 foxes annually and there was 196 registered hound packs. It depends on the size of the group and how frequently they go out. If someone else knows, that would be great. You do not have to have hunted foxes to fill in the survey, if you hunt some other species that information could be used as well.

    I would suggest that you volunteer in a national park that way you will get to know the people and your chances of getting a job is much higher. My friend finished her masters last year and she got a job thorough that as a conservation officer. Its always about knowing the right people. There is no garantee of getting a job but its a job that bets sitting in an office all day. If it is something you a passionate about Ill say go for it, perhaps your first job is not going to be the right one but at it will gain you experience to get a better one.

    Hi all, I am a Master student at Leeds university and for my final project I am investigating if the is a change in the population size of Red foxes in England and Wales due to the ban on hunting with Hounds. I am doing so by comparing the observations and experiences from different groups that work or observe foxes since before 2005.     I have done a Bachelor in Wildlife-ecology and behaviour and I am now doing a masters in Conservation and Biodiversity so might be similar to what you are doing. It is hard to say what job opportunities are after, many at first do research assistance work to gain experience, but it depend on what your interests are, if you would like to work with reptiles you would have to work in warmer places to do this. Regards Pernille Egeberg Im a arable farmer and also have a game farm and have seen a very big decline in foxes since the ban!., due to the fact of a lot more of them being shot now as every other traditional method is being made allegal.     It would be really useful if I could get you to fill the survey, however, not for Scotland and Ireland as the ban was earlier in Scotland and I am just measuring for 4 years and it is still legal in Ireland.
