SALUKIS : I breed, and show [exhibit] them. Have sold them around the world and my breeding now participates in all disciplines, including traditional hunting in the Middle East.<br /><br />I am also a qualified International show judge Specialising in Sighthounds, Salukis particular of course <BG> I can judge well over 100 breeds.
  1. I am not sure if anyone is interested, but this YT clip features a Saluki bitch of my breeding in the Middle East and another talented desert bred Saluki ! Great montage of pix by her owner.
  2. You cant buy either from an abbatoir now mate, EU legeslation, they still sell some offal, ox hearts etc, but things aint what they used to be in old blighty. Hey that rhymes !! Oh drats !! What a bother for everyone ? So I guess you need to know if any farmers are slaughtering for their 'own use' and ask them to keep you in mind for the tripes. In WA here public health regs., make it pretty difficult to get hold of fresh tripes. Whe you can get them, the heat makes sure you deal with them pretty quick when you get home <gggggg>>>>>>>>>>&
  3. When I used to live in England, every week I would go to the local abbatoirs with 2 big black pastic bins with lids, and pick up 'paunch' [green tripe] and sheep's heads, to feed my dogs. Is there an abbatoir in your area ? Within driving distance ? Take a drive to visit one and ask if you can buy direct from them. Makes life a whole lot easier. I used to wash the ones I got and also boiled them up in an old Burco down in the back shed. They freeze better if they're cooked, and once cooked, they dont wear the dog's teeth down gnawing through them. They can be awful tough !!
  4. Hi out there I understand that if you want to export a Greyhound out of England, it has to be sterilised. Can anyone tell me please, does this same rule apply to Ireland [Eire] ? Does the rule apply to Longdogs/Lurchers? Mandy
  5. Oh Yes !! The "shade" of a smaller person walking with him to his left ! How amazing !
  6. Do you recognise the pups? :) Your lines are travelling all round the world!! <BG> hehehehehe . . . of course I recognise the pups !! That's what Grandmas do !! It's lovely having my lines around the globe, I have made soooooooooo many friends out of it, it's fantastic And yes they certainly can and should do both! Re Polyester that was a tad tongue in cheek as there is no way I would risk the static with the feathered salukis about ;) <ggggg>>>>>>>>>> I know !!! and I was joking back. The little grizzle girl is going to be a stu
  7. Hi Bryan ) The parents of this "little black bitch" do not hunt. Not in that neck of Sweden at any rate. However - litter sister to her mother IS in the deserts in the Middle East and IS proven on all traditional game. The Arab owner has YouTube clips up, showing her aunty coursing hare !
