  1. nice vid think the buzzard must have been sleeping .. the dog did his job well!

It was a fledgeling which flew down out of the tree and just stood there waiting to be fed by mum.

The dogs expression makes me laugh you can see her thinking what the fooks that.

  2. Nice write up and Photos, (I believe you cos of the pics(LOL)).

Joking aside I like your roe they have good spans don't they.

I was at my nursery this morning and missed a possible Silver, it was a neck shot at 129m's. Further than I would normally take a neck shot but he had twigged me and was stood facing me in uncut silage.

They do massive damage to the manicured trees and there is a shoot any buck policy around there.

I don't take clients here its not very big and near to some dwellings so its the only place I have to myself.

I blame my poor posture I had to shoot through a slit in the foliage and couldn't stand nor kneel, semi crouched off my sticks.

The shot felt very good (on) :censored: or I wouldn't have taken it..... Bang - he was still just stood there looking at me, I realised my balls up and never shot again. I had by then got a wee flutter.

He will keep I might go back tomorrow. :boogie:

See I'm not beyond telling my own shit :icon_redface: (it happens eh?)

  3. nice looking dog and deer.

its always nice to bring a young dog on and see it doing well, dreaming about the potential stalks and a blossoming friendship.

always hard not to judge it on its predisestors talents though.

    good luck

ps is that the housing estate where alot of the famous photos have been taken?

  4. The video is great for showing how it can easily go wrong and how to get the animal down once it goes wrong. Everyone who has stalked any wild animal from your first rabbit to the biggest stag gets the fever! I've seen royal marines take 3 shots to nail a broadside red stag at that range, even they get it wrong.

When i was working as a keeper we had a no neck/head shot policy for guests as this was when it was more likely to go wrong.

    a good policy .

i enjoyed the footage. john maybe you should stick to the deer. if you cant show respect to the fox you would be better leaving that task to someone that can :hmm:

apart from that small observation. i enjoy your posts :D

Thanks for your wee observation, but I like deer stalking and LOVE killing foxes, I have just zeroed my 7mm rem mag with 110gr speer TNT hollow points @ 3,600 fps. Now thats respect.

    cant argue with that

  5. You would be suprised george.

its had a good welcome on other forums from very respected posters, not like some of the pretenders on here. :whistling:

You maybe shouldn't have shot your birthday buck lad you said on your post you could feel the shakes.

I heard you take two deep breaths(settled yourself) and slide the saftey off, thats when i told you to take it. Job done.

  7. Doc maybe an american??

but to know henry krank carries privvi

    he is in england.

I smell a rat, who has 18 posts 16 of them probably on here "having a go" :hmm:

Or BTcentralplus has taken over AOL in America as the number one ISP.

they don't last long do they?

spot them after 10 posts. :toast:

    :big_boss:

  8. Doc for the record.

look at my signature, theres my web site.

also I have an advert in shooting times in the roe special coming out soon.(which all cost me, but is tax deductable).

Sporting rifle advertises me, as do alot of local gun shops and gun clubs.

I also have a large client base of regulars and have at least x4 police counties who send me novice stalkers for mentoring.

All these have access to you tube, my web site and any other way I communicate.

They all still send / recomend me. so as far as your view, your entitled to it, you will not stop the way I do things so save your breath.

If someone shoots a fox deer or whatever and the animal is dead, and they want a trophy from it be it antler tail or whatever, I have no problem with that, its dead and will go to the food chain or get thrown in the hedge to rot down.

Time for you to wake up and realise there are more ways to have a life/business than yours.

I could do things different, I don't and I do ok, so accept that, read the others views on here, many of whome carry far more respect then me (put together) and you ever will and let it drop.

People want and enjoy the photos/posts, people don't.

I will never please everybody all of the time.

You have quoted an old saying,

    well so will I

one thats popular with yorkshire men.

take me as i am or fook off.

I might be "pork" but i don't want to be anything else.

  9. Ammo prices are spiraling out of control, this is a fact and has hit shotgun shells also.

Best quality factory is mad (RWS, norma, sako etc).

Put a new scope on the 7mm rem yesterday (RWS factory £52.20) a box, Luckily after bore sighting 2 shots to hit the bull, a couple to check at 200m's and a group to check all was well, managed to most of ground work with cheaper hand loads then checked zero with the RWS.

They were on the money so probably only £20 or so. I was lucky but practiced after that with the 6.5 and privvis @ £9 a box when I bought 300 sometime back. New ones are now £11 a box. Cannot hand load as cheap as that and they are a great (but slow) round

  10. Why do people get "bitchy" when someone tells it like it is!

John hides nothing,The good and the not so good comes out .

Because thats REAL LIFE! Shit happens from time to time and we can only pray to resolve a problem as quick as we can.

John could have taken the guy to a target and he would have been fine. How could anyone

anticipate a panic shot. The problem was resolved by the client, all be it the third shot.

If that hadnt happened,I have no doubt John would have taken steps to resolve it himself.

The laughter is relief that a disaster was cut short! Anyone who hasnt experienced that after a problem session ,either hasnt shot enough or is a flaming liar.

I dont think John has anything to worry about .The majority of people see whats going on and cant be bothered getting involved with a dick measuring contest and stay well out of it .

John takes some stick on the forums from time to time .But at least he has the video,s online with nothing to hide really.

Will any of the others put up all their video,s good and bad?

    I wont hold my breath.

As for advertising, Its a no brainer .He runs a business,of course he advertises!

    Why shouldnt he?

Thanks mate, this is this mornings deer, this lad shot his first with me which was a panic shot.

He has now become a very proficient shot/stalker and loves his time out with me.

Some would have writtten him off for his first deer and never given him chance to florish.

  11. p.s. if my videos/photos are distatefull and you see a post with inc video or caught on film(by john robbo) theres a clue there. Don't watch it. As many many do enjoy watching them and i get many pm's and emails asking me to ignore responses like yours and carry on. Which I will.

Another thing you don't seem to have grasped is every time you post it brings the thread to the top so more people see what you don't like so in itself rather than the topic dying out your actions actualy get more people interested which is good for business, exactly what you don't like.

    regards John
