I have the line coming off the top at the minute but might change one to off the bottom and see how that feels, like I say I haven't really got a clue how to use the reels yet so it's all trial and error at the minute lol. I still haven't a clue how to cast with them haha so thanks for all the info everyone

Hi I bought my first centrepin the other week and am really enjoying using it for trotting the river near me. One question I do have, and I may sound silly asking it, but what do you use the ratchet for? Unfortunately I dont know any one that is fishing with one to ask and to be shown how to use it properly. I'm probably doing it all wrong but I'm catching so thats me happy Any help gratefully received. Thank FMG

Got to agree, can't say I'm gona moan about living here :-) as has already been said is very hot but when you don't get caught, or in my case,are female and blonde just look at them dumbly when they accuse you of hunting, and say "what with my beautiful puppies, I don't think so sir" it's all good ;-)

Hunting in hull and surounding areas

Am I missing something here you state you can only get out 2 nights a week because of the commitments of being an adult!! Then why the need for another dog?? I think 2 nights a week is not a challenge to any dog never mind having to spend that bitches working time bringing on a pup and working 2 dogs at once.

Just a quick rant about so called hunting groups on facebook! I dont know how many of you use facebook but I seem to see more and more of these so called 'hunting groups' on there. Do people not see that these poorly run groups are detremental to hunting as a whole as even though i try to avoid scanning them at all possible costs, I have already seen one with a LIVE rabbit being thrown round a living room for a 12 week old pup to chew on (this was in full video) so clearly shows an animal being cruelly treated for a so called hunting lurcher to learn by! And have no witnessed 11 month old

Hi theres plenty round here but theres also plenty of people with dogs! There is some good open fields but tend to be a little out of Hull up the Hornsea way places like that, I have very little problems getting pulled but then I tend to only go out with one other person at a time and always walk fields not drive them. Also have permission which helps lol always an excuse to be in the area We certainly dont have to travel far to run any game.

Those rabbits are ran by every man and his dog so they know the score probably not the best place to start a young dog, there is numbers to catch there but you will have to pick a damn near perfect night. I've lamped up there for years and have never started a pup up that way as I like easy rabbits on easy (preferable vermin wired) fields.

Who is it you go out with I'm in Hull try and get out with a few more experianced people, theres a few of us in Hull and you will learn and see alot more

Hi Has anyone got the above gun for sale? This may sound like a strange request but if no one has one for sale has anyone got one I can come and have a quick hold of and maybe a shot. Reason for this is all gunsmiths nearish me don't hold them in stock, so I would have to put a non-refundable deposit on a gun that I'm not 100% sure I will like the feel of. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Rowan

Thanks alot for that, I had a hw100kt but found it to heavy for me and was constantly having to find a place to lie and use the bipod!! Think I'm definately saving those pennies then and buying the verimnator mk2 ATB Rowan

Hi Does anyone use the above gun, if so how do you find it? How accurate and reliable is it? And just how do you find the gun in general. Please point out bad points as well if there are any! I need a new gun but as I'm quite small (and not particularly strong) I need a lightish gun I can happily carry around for the day and shoot with, but certainly don't want to fork out that sort of money for something I'm not going to be happy with.
