  1. just brought my dogs out for a run,the cream one is a pup out of snatch,the black is well breed to,started them with road work as well.hopefully will have a good season this year thanks

  4. thanks for the replies lads and lassies,i like the look of the beddiexwhippet,but the one i was looking at was very very nervous.but he is a lovely little dog.so the man owns said he would bring me out on the lamp,he thinks he will be a little dinger.so i will see,are they hard to train,or would i be better going for something easier to train,only going to be ferriting and lamping thanks for the replies
  5. i was looking at a beddiexwhippet today but he was very nervous,like he would not come near you,the man that has thinks he could of being bet when he was a pup,he said he feds him everyday and he still is very nervous.so i dont know what to do,but he is a lovely dog only he is so nervous could i get it out of him,he is only 11 months

  8. think the saluki whippet /collie grey would be the best cross for the rabbits on the lamp,but i would like to see the saluki whippet cross,does anyone have one at all
  9. aye had a superb 3/4 grey 1/4 collie bitch who was a good wee lamping dog and could also takes a few winter hares pre ban, well have a look mate and whatever you decide to go with Atb buddy. Darren would love to see that dog working,like to see a small dog getting them

  13. sorry found out the breed of the dog he is hancock collie greyhound back to wheaten greyhound,so do ye think he would be good for on the lamp for rabbit he is 25 to the shoulder thanks Was the dog bred up north yorkshire and would be about 4 year old now??????? NO THE DOG IS ABOUT 15 MONTHS OLD,DOE S ANY ONE HAVE A GOOD BRED OF A DOG FOR LAMPING AND THAT,THAT I COULD GET THANKS MARS FOR THE ADVICE

ALL I REALLY WANT THE DOG FOR IS RABBITS LAMPING JUST,HE IS BROKEN COATED AS WELL.ANYONE HAVE ANY PICTURE S OF THAT KIND OF BREED WOULD BE GOOD.HE IS 16 MONTHS OLD AS WELL,JUST WANT A GOOD LAMP DOG FOR THE START OF THE SEASON,HE IS NOT TRAINED THAT WELL EITHER,THE MAN BROUGHT HIM OUT LAST NIGHT SAID HE GOT 2 RABBITS ON THE LAMP.

  17. just wondering what merles are like for lamping rabbits only,was thinking of buying one,he is wheatenxhound cross merle.does anyone even have a picture of one.
  18. seen that dog run,he was hard bet,not a dog to touch it,and as far as i could see he would not touch a sheep.owen o m owned that dog
  19. no bother will have them up in a while mate she is still very nervous of cars traffic etc,but i only have her couple of days,things can only get better i hope
  20. well some very nice whippets there,i am glad i got one now for ferrets and lamping and i have my little whippet lead broke already thankfully,and she is getting used to me,so a bit time with them and they dont be long catching on,thanks everyone for the replies
  21. I HAD MY DOG OUT THERE FOR A WALK,BUT NO WAY WAS SHE WALKING ON THE LEAD,SO IT IS GOING TO TAKE ALOT OF TIME TO TRAIN HER IN RIGHT,BUT I CANT WAIT,HOPEFULLY SOON SHE WILL GET USED TO ME AND THE FERRETS AND THEN THE FUN WILL START THANKS SOME CLASS WHIPPETS
  22. some lovely looking whippets there,I HEARD THAT AFTER ABOUT 3 RUNS ON THE LAMP THEY GET REAL TIRED,BUT I HOPE I CAN GET THEM USED TO FERRETS AT THE AGE OF 8 MONTHS,THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP
  23. thanks everyone for the replies,some lovely little whippets there,just hope mine will come good on the lamp,and with ferrets,now just have to train her in,so what ye think i should start of doing,anybody have any tips would be great thanks
  24. thanks lurcher lass the dogs past is grand the man that owned the dogs did noting wit them at all cause he has other dogs as well,so they seen noting i have to even lead train her yet,but she will get used to me,the mother of them was working on the lamp,and same with the father on the lamp and with ferrets,so the breed should be there hopefully
  25. would not mind seeing a few pictures of ya working whippets either lads thanks more pictures but not great will try and get better ones
