    Was looking into my first dog and wondering what to go for, so i thought id ask you guys, want it for lamoing rabbits or when out ferreting. a mate said beddlington x whippet, but looking for some advice..

    how old is the dog mate,sounds like you may have started her to young,i would start again,but only on squatters(sitters),question,do you work her with terriers,as they open up when on a chase,i think once she knows she can catch it will stop,but it will take time,i had a dog that did it on the lamp,i stoped her by taking her ferreting,once she caught a few bolters it all clicked into place,good luck

    Exactly right answer, take the dog ferreting and let it grab bunnys in the nets, the dog then thinks it has caught the rabbit and builds confidence no end,

     

    then easy squaters on the lamp and GO BY YOURSELF, just you and the one dog

     

    Have a collie x here myself which used to yap now and again when I entered her, its not the end of the dog, just adjust yer methods :thumbs:

    if you have red my post right mate i said it wouldnt work on collie x they are too brainy its working on mine

    Seeing as it was his SECOND offence regarding frying dogs,AND he obviously has a screw loose somewhere because he tried to commit suicide for either a sympathy vote or a smoke-and-mirrors distraction from his canine killing actions,I think he got off very,very lightly,but then again,he is a copper.

    How secure what is mateif u mean my dog run its 2-2 frame whith galv weld mesh so even ur big bull greys wouldnt get out and if u mean dog thieves my dogs are very wairy of people u break in n the dogs dont no u i garantee u whish u hadnt

    if you put something up and ask what we think are we all supposed to blow smoke up your arse and tell you how good it is,get of your high horse mate it was merely an observation from someone that knows what its like to have a dog nicked,it dont look very secure but if you say it is then so be it but as for my bull x it would run straight through it

    Google earth is awsome!! Got me out of sticky situation the other month using my iphone and having the compass app too, I'd have been f****d if my battery had died lol

    you sound like a woman when asked which ways north,they point at the sky :laugh: all the land iv walked with the lamp i recce daylight hours using said footpaths,i suppose some people just have that in built sense of direction as well which helps,yes they give easy access but also provide valuable escape routes cutting through woodland for example :thumbs:
