  1. got out on 200 acre rape field today in bale hide soon too be joined by 3 other guns set up in other bale hides. no matter what we tried the bloody things would not decoy, ther must of been thousands on the move all day as the guns kept them on the move , tried floaters, magnet, flappers, with and without but they just didnt wanna know, ended up with 5 in the bag, bad day would of been better shooting em as they come back ta roost. what the hell do ya do ta get them interested, anyone else getting days like this.
  2. do many people use the milldots for range finding or do you just use the hold over under , whats the best way to get the hang of this at differant ranges, any tips would be verry helpful,
  3. brought 2 last year, they do work well in wind, best floaters ive ever used , little expensive though .
  4. given me some quality advice, easy guy to approach to ask questions, top man , hope to have a day out shooting with him ta show me how it,s done,

  5. not sure on better model cause i never shot a s200 , but i think you will get a s200 cheaper than a s410, you may be best seeing if you can try both rifles out before u decide what suits you best, advice given to me was if the gun feels right then buy it,
  6. at this time of year the pigeons will def be on the rape and are easy to spot cause they flock together in there hundreds . a little time spent watching will pay dividends, to be honest with you rather than decoying them in the field look out for the tree,s they like to roost in , you can find these easy by the amount of shite underneath, lol . loft a few decoys up keep well hidden i,m sure you,l have more luck than decoying them to the field, ask others it can be tricky . hope this helps.
  7. interesting idea using the flying pigeon. i got a few i use with the rotary, i got six full body flocked deoys i was gonna use for lofting up but i,ll give that a try , dunno what ta go for first now , pigeons or crows, lol shot loads a crows but never realy went just for them , you got me thinking now, what fun i could have ,
  8. mainly after the pigeons, never give it a thought about decoying in the crows, theres lots where i shoot sometimes when we pigeon decoying with the shotguns the crows come flooding in, think i will give this a try with the crow decoys , cheers mate,
  9. got me new chrono today, havent done a full reading but can tell u i tried 3 differant pellets and air arms fields push it over the limit so turned it down to keep legal so can say as well as accurate the s410 is full power, no probs .
  10. glad to be of a little help, i find decoying can be hard at times, best advice i can give is just go to the fields and watch where the pigeons are coming from and feeding and at what times, you will normally find they stick to the same routes called flightlines and they normally use these same lines, try to intercept them on one of these lines or close as with a few decoys well placed, pigeons will spot you easy so make a good hide,
  11. sitty as in pigeons have trees where they go back to roost , does anyone on here use decoys with better effect or do you just wait for em ta come back and roost , decoys pull em in on the rape fields , do they work on lofting them up in the tree,s
  12. been shooting over rape for several years and i always go onto the rape, you wont do any harm just walking over the rape at this time of year , a few decoys out about 30 yard and a good hide so the pigeons dont spot you hat or mask too., you must know what the pigeons are upto though, flight lines when there feeding and where or you could have a long wait , hope this helps a little
  13. followed ya lead grim , no, no , no, no ,no .
  14. i was verry surprised how light the s410 is ,i cant realy say about range performance cause i havent fully tested it yet but was getting about half inch groups at 25 yards first time i picked it up, was well impressed how easy to use and shoot. got a chrono on way this week and will do a full reading from fully charged till it runs out and will post if anyone is interested in results. hope this helps mate, regards nigel
  15. recently purchased my first pcp, air arms s410, accuracy is spot on compared to springers ive had, highly recommended for money u wanna spend.u have every right to shoot the pheasants if they come on your patch , i would .
  16. i,m new on here ,i do a lot of pigeon decoying with shotguns and just getting back into shooting with air rifles and am the proud owner of a s410. was just wondering how many people use decoys in sitty tree,s and wether they have more luck with or without decoys,
