  6. hello mate about 30years ago a guy i new old ted ,had 3 manchester terriers one of them crossed with a small staff they worked rat and rabbit and were top notch at the job, the 2 pure manchesters would take fox on once we dug down to them and pull them out to be dispatched . the staff x manchester was totally crackers he had the strength n stamina and could easyly nak foxes, all 3 dogs loved getting into the fields. i have tryed to buy a manchester pup for 3years without success, seems they are sold [bANNED TEXT] they are born . and seems they are all bred down south which seems odd 2me but th

  9. mate, dont bother doing it yourself, because its not easy at all, one problem is taking the maxigrip scope mount off and putting it back on, you need to alter the internals beyond return to fit the ram in, thing is, if you do it and dont like or you do it and you lose 1.5-2ftlbs (i've heard of three doing that, 2 of which were fitted at a gun smiths) then you cant just whack the spring back in, cos ya've butchered the guides and hat and some other stuff, not sure about other guns, but theobens ram in a lightning/tactical xl is a big job, so much so that some gun smiths wont even do it, hope t
  10. now my modded rat with barrel, breech, bolt and valve mods, hits pretty consistently between 10.9 and 10.5 for the full 18 shots before it empties. i have had it at 11.2ftlb, but only once with aa fields modded pic more than, quote "more than" adequate for pretty much all small vermin control, but not in excess of 30-35 yds and probably 20-25 yds in standard flavour, and of course you know your killzones inside out and are AKeeNShoT. who was worried the 24" barrel would look daft?? what do ya reckon now
  11. i have two rats standard and modded, standard chrons 1st 3 pellets between 8.5ftlbs and 8.2ftlbs, the next 10 pellets are pretty consistent at around7.7-8 ftlbs, the power drops quite alot in the next 10 to to around 6ftlb before it empties, all in all about 23 shots. standard pic

  15. alreet boys and gals, i'm new to this internet game and this forum, but here goes. my mate has two plummers and two black eyed whites available for work in the north east. the dog is raring to go, chasing rabbits and the sort, on most of our shoots, and the bitch (25weeks old) is eager to start learning, with massive potential. we're looking to get out with them, to start some work or just to tag along with others for the ride, they are great with other dogs and live stock alike, any how, enough of the blog. i'm a keen shooter, with spring air rifles and am looking to get a jack russel after x
