  5. i see, so were in south wales are you from?
  6. when you guys get permission on golf courses does it mean that the only time you can hunt there is during the night (lamping). as i dont see how you could shoot there at any other time
  7. that it is!!!! im too tight fisted to buy any so i 'borrow' my parents. ohh the benefits of living at home
  8. why is the dairy farm no good? they still suffer from rabbit problems and you get lots of corvids
  9. do u have a local airgun centre? if so youll most deffinately get one from there or you could try some of the online shops

    new bsa r10

ive also seen the review and i dont really liike the look of it. i realise that the stock is going to be different in the final product but it seems to modern for me. im also a bit put off by the indexing trigger system. stil going to check it out before i buy my next gun though (which will probably be the more traditional looking aa s510sl)
  12. great bags you have there. so where in carmarthen you from?
  13. dont mean to hijack but how much do these bipods weigh? as i dont particularily want to be carrying one around when im walking a long way if theyre heavy
  14. i really like this forum. it certainly makes you feel welcome.
  15. um i think i get your drift yes i was refering to angling which is my main passion, (ive been doing it since i was six)! i used to be into the size aspect of catching carp, trout, sewin and the like. now i just enjoy it for what it is; being where i love out in the countryside and doing what i love . theres nothing better in my opinion than the open air and feilds. im just looking forward to the challenge of hunting and eating the little blitters! as u can tell i love my food and to welshdragon, thankyou for your comment and not thinking that im a fool. i certainly try my best to be k
  16. do you mean being cut out to kill? if so i dont think itl pose much of a problem, ive killed rabbits before and i never shy away from getting my hands dirty,
  17. yeah ive decided that im going to buy an air arms s410 as soon as possible, get some land which shouldnt be hard as i know alot of people with farms. i think that i will then apply for a shot gun certificate a few months later. i cant wait to go out into the field to see if my stalking skills are up to scratch after spending years stalking river banks !
  18. im 17 and 18 in a few months . ive decided that il get an air rifle first, gain some experience and then apply for an fac in a year or so .
  19. thankyou . ive heard that my local FLO is very friendly and helpful so i think il get in contact with him some point in the next few weeks to see what his views are in the matter.
  20. thankyou for your advice sporting shooter! i realise that i must seem like a complete fool to everyone on here and for that i applogise. i think that i should probably llok into getting an air rifle first so that i have some sort of basis to work from.
  21. i can completely understand where your coming from and i wont take any advice given the wrong way, the more advice the better. i guess i am a bit to eager! its just ive always wanted to take up shooting, however my mother is only willing for me to begin when im 18 in a few months. plus i like the fact that some of my stalking skills gleaned from fishing could come in useful.
  22. yeah i though that would be the case . i dont really like the though of an air rifle as i dont deem it to be effient enough for a humane kill. Would my chances be increased if i put down target and hunting on the fac, then practice for a few months on the ranges, as i dont intend to hunt until im a very competent shot. this would then give me a chance to learn proper gun safety and the like. i have a friend thats 2 years older, been target shooting for a few months an successfully gained an fac. is it easier to gain an fac if you use it for target shooting? and how much would it cost to add
  23. so it will be a close licence? so i can get another permission added if i get the flo to check it out and see if its safe? by the way will my lack of previous experience with firearms work against me?
  24. yeah as you can tell im very nevous about applying for one! the only problem i have is that the rimfire would be my first weapon so i would have no prior experience , would this be a problem ? as far as everything else is concerned it should be okay as i have no mental ilnesses, criminal record, am very responible and very safety conscious.
