  2. I doubt, and hope, that you wouldn't do that over barbed wire fences! When jumping wire a pup needs to learn to clear it with confidence:not get dragged over so it hurts itself. Success breeds success and confidence. Set up a low wire fence in your garden or yard: getting a dog to jump something it can see through is completely different to jumping solid objects. If I'm out in the field with a pup and we approach a barbed wire fence, I always find a low bit that has been squished down a bit, then I take of my coat and lay it over the top at the same time as putting a foot on the wire to kee
  3. the best thing for it is to take a stick to him when he yappes(got to be crewl to be kind)give him a few taps on the nose it wont take long and you'll never hear him again,i have 7 lurchers,6 terriers and 2 spaniels and don't hear any of them.

  5. right then the fungisideds etc. are used when the spuds are growing and the acid base chemicals use to kill the tops off(as i said they used) if freshly sprayed would have caused vomiting, swelling and redness(as said before) also dont you think a cocktail of all the chemicals used(if still in the ground) would make the spuds unconsumable to humans aswell as to livestock.
  6. hello and welcome bud :welcomeani:
  7. thanks CHOOK ,glad to see someone with a bit of sence reading this thread.if possible could you find out if Xyatol is contained in the chemicals used to spray spuds(as i cant find what spray is used) THANKS again CHOOK
  8. lurcher's are not a pure breed so you must have a preference to a specific cross i.e. collie, bull, gsd, terrier, etc. I'm fully aware what makes up a lurcher, of any type! I said 'line bred' not pure bred and some lurchers ancestry goes back enough so that you cannot determin what composits are in it's make-up and thats the 'type' i'm talking about, so.... I hit the 'other' tab in the box above. oh yer so as said in many other threads breeding shit from any thing then
  9. MY LAW i was just checking though some medical books i have and there is not one form of poisoning(that i can find) which will cause the sugar level to drop to a dangerously low level.i am not going to stretch this out anymore but this is my findings. if anyone on this site knows of any poisons or of a vet to change my findings please correct me and we'll all be able to sleep peacefully. yours the woolyback.
  10. I'm not trying to question what you know about dogs and blood test do tend to take a few days at least to come through, but you can get test blood sugar levels in seconds. My brother is a diabetic and all it takes is a little drop of blood on a little strip that you wang into a device that reads whether or not your blood sugar levels are high or low, it literally takes seconds to find out. I shouldn't imagine that it'd change that dramatically to test a dogs blood sugar levels. this is all so true mate.he can also do basic test on site if it is a large vets
