I have been planning to get a patterdale pup of a nearby hunt, so I know it will come from working stock but I have two young babies, I must admit to being a bit worried due to the comments on here about patts, I dont perticularly want to stick my kids in any danger, and be wearing patterdale dog slippers after a few weeks costing £150 Is it just down to training? or are these patts little barstewards in general?

Hi all first post, My misses brother has a lakeland x border terrier, and we have been searching out a similar pup for ourselves, we checked out a few hunts and we have been passed on to a chap who has a fresh litter of patterdales, not really knowing of this perticular breed I am well chuffed to find that these are a great rat hunting dog, so can anyone give me a few pointers on some techniques you use
