  1. AYA just got back to me. Yes it is a NO 3 and was made in 1974 Cheers for all the answers lads Thanks
  2. On the barrels picture 6. It seems to be stamped but hard to make out ( far left side of the photo ) Maybe I need a close up shot of it ? I thought it said No 2 But I am prob wrong.
  3. I have bought this little AYA today and was told that it was a no:3 but looking on the net I am unsure. Not that it matters really but I am just curious. I have emailed AYA and give them the serial but I suppose it will be tomorrow when they get back to me. The gun has 28" barrels, 3 inch magnum proofed, double trigger, ( Not sure if it ejects as I did not ask and I have not fired it yet ) Any idea lads ? I know the box is not the original one but that's irrelevant really. Here is some pictures ! Thanks for any advice in advance.
  4. Dear Mr. Cameron, I'm planning to move my family and extended family to Pakistan for my health and I would like to ask you to assist me with this. We're planning to simply fly from Britain to Pakistan and we'll need your help to make a few arrangements....We plan to skip all of the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration quotas and laws. I'm sure they handle those things in the same way you do here. So, would you mind telling your buddy, President Asif Ali Zardari, that I'm on my way over? Please let him know that I will be expecting the following: 1. Free medical care for my entire fam
  5. If anyone is interested in how to make Flapping / hyper flap Pigeon decoys suitable for a Pigeon Magnet or bouncers / floaters this short clip might help you. These are my latest design that works really well. It begins with showing the decoys working even with some slow motion shots and then goes on to explain how I make them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTf-lXC_KFw Thanks Steve

  7. Just a quick update !!!!! I have tried the decoys in the field in really strong wind. I have 1.5mm carbon rods in the wings, I am using small hollow fiber glass tent poles that are compact here is a short clip using 3 short poles on each side and then reducing them to 2 short poles on each side. The pigeons decoyed really good to both set ups ! So my dilemma is weather to use 2 poles per side or the 3 per side. I also tried these stationary facing into the wind, just letting them flap like hell and that also worked just as well. Do I need these on a magnet or will these be effective enough o
  8. Well I know this discussion has drawn to an end. But although I began this for the benefit of another person, I have decided to renew my membership with SACS as opposed to NGO who I have been with for years. I rang SACS and spoke to a very helpful lady that explained and answered all my questions I had. To be honest I do not know what I personally have been thinking in the past as all I have done is paid into bloated organizations that charge a price I accepted. Speaking to SACS was the best call I made. Needless to say I took the deal on 6 or more members so it discounted the price to £26 per
  9. I have rang sacs ( diverting away from the original post a little ) I was asking about a membership fro myself. Which I am tempted to take on I must admit But I still do not see the full policy wording ! I can only see wording that is "brief description" of the policy but bot the actual wording of it. I am maybe been too picky on this but I would of liked to read the full and actual wording of the policy including main and sub sections. I do not want to draw this out as my intention is not to be a pa1n in the @rse but I like to read small print in whatever I do or become part of. I will howeve
  10. I have been making some decoys that flap giving a lot of movement so that wood pigeons will be attracted towards you or your decoy pattern allowing you to shoot them at a sensible distance I have found these decoys work fantastic on a pigeon magnet or facing into the wind on a floater. I began by cutting up some old decoys that were worse for wear and used some bits of very lightweight 3mm Acrylic plastic that seems to be sandwiching a lightweight foam. (I get this given for nothing from a local plastics manufacturing factory from their waste skip) I cut a very simple body shape and attach the
  11. I have been looking on SACS website Can not find any info / links on SACS policy wording. what other terms are on the policy? I have found a page that briefly explains the cover in simple wording but I can not find the exact policy details. What limits are there to making claims if there are other insurances in play eg" home insurance cover you might have" Has anyone got a copy of SACS policy details seems a few of you have joined. You should of recieved a copy of the exact policy wording when you joined according to FSA rules. If so can someone post the policy wording or a link to them pleas
  12. How do you get the SACS discount from being a member on this site please. I have searched through posts but I can not find the info or the link to join on a discount. Just my Insurance is due in 3 weeks from now so I might as well join them for £19 ... Its for nothing really at that price. Paulus I appreciate the advice Under £20 is a bargain. I have never had anything to do with SACS so it might be worth a shot for the £19 I just looked on the site and it says £35 so for £19 I will take up the offer myself as like I say mine is due in 3 weeks time. Thanks Steve
  13. Point is! as said before in previous posts .............."Please do not jump on the nasty wagon, I never wanted that !" I never posted this on here to have to begin a discussion about how the lad is skint or why he has no insurance this year. It was to simply highlight how some licensing departments can mess people about and make life hard for an individual for no apparent reason apart from they lost the court case against him and still can not accept it. Its alright speaking like this if £30 to £70 quid for insurance means nothing to you ! It might be pocket change to some people, but when y
  14. Well, Its a bit funny He has always had insurance He has even been to court and won this silly situation legally. ( Fact ) But the FLD decided to make it hard. I spoke to him earlier and he told me he has always had a NGO membership but due to his situation with his ( Other ) sons medical condition he is unable to get out and earn a wage. The situation with his son's illness should be resolved this year (fingers crossed) and his sons treatment should resolve the issue. He will then be back up on his feet by going out to earn a few quid again. I really do not think he should be judged li
  15. I do not know mate. I have never asked him about his situation before. I just know he is not financially secure this year to get his insurance. I do know he has had family problems that left him skint. if he can afford carts for a shotty he can afford twenty quid for membership to SACS needs to get his priorities in order me thinks Funny you mention that ! The lad has been a certificate holder for years and years but he has without a doubt suffering from hard times and he is financially embarrassed. When he is asked to come shooting he sometimes declines the offer as he has n

  17. My Pal phoned the FLO today again and they said they need to review his situation and background again. Is it just me or have they missed the point here. He has his certificate and can collect the guns from his friends cabinet when required and go wherever he wants to shoot. What the hell difference is it keeping the guns in someone else cabinet rather than his own ? I must of missed something here..... I told him about sacs, basc and other shooting organizations but at the moment the poor lad is really skint so this is not within his means.. It seems just wrong whats happening......he should
  18. My mate ! Over a year ago now he had his license revoked as the police attended his house one Sunday when he was with his family ....Please read on......... His license was issued under a north east Licensing dept I personally will not name. But I know of the department. His son visited him and said hello, so he was invited in for lunch ( as you would ) After a short while a huge knock came to his door, when he opened the door he was stormed by police the police were apparently looking for the son of my mate.... His son did not live at this address he was simply on a visit. And my mate knew
  19. Pigeon Magnet, All Home made With Flapping Decoys MK2 I have adjusted some things and now have my home made flapping decoys and pigeon magnet working in a way I think is suitable. The key for flapping was the carbon rods. £1.21 for 1000mm lengths Here is a video taken on my phone but you might be able to see how they work. Nearly there !!!! LOL Spent over a tenner now on this set up.....Gutted as I was sure I could do it for less than a tenner. Thanks

  21. My attempt of a home made Pigeon Magnet with decoys. All Home made with stuff lying about or given to me by friends. The only thing I have noticed that the decoys are not flapping enough. But I think I have the answer to this as I am using high tensile fence wire ( Keeping the wings too stiff ) You will see in my video showing it not finished but trying it ! A quick change to the wing wire to carbon rod... These are the cheapest I have found.1mm by 1000mm longI think 1mm will be better than 0.5mm tell me if I am wrongHere is the site link I have ordered 2 for these decoys I have made to tr
  22. I thought I would have a go at making some Hypa Flap decoys. Simply because I need them for my magnet I have just made and had no money to buy some. So I began by using materials I had lying about and took a chance on making them. I began by shaping a silhouette body made from some very lightweight 3mm Acrylic plastic that seems to be sandwiching a lightweight foam. ( very durable, lightweight and strong ) I think the others make them from correx sign board material. I then butchered 2 old plastic pigeon decoys and chopped the head of them to attach to my silhouette body I made. I then used som
  23. Why not mate ? Have a go if it costs you nothing have a try ! Thanks
  24. I have been playing around with a drill trigger but it was very sensitive, I will give a little device I found a try It is a 12V-40V 10A Pulse Width Modulator PWM DC Motor Speed Control Switch 13KHz Like the one in the picture ( Trial and error )
  25. Just to answer a couple of obvious questions.... I am not sure of the current draw BUT I had another drill the same basically and used inline bulbs on a test bench in the shed to slow it down. (Inline car bulbs x2 to slow the motor down so that the bulbs reduced the current.) I wired it up going slow with a 12v 7.5ah alarm battery connected and went out to work. 4 hours later it was still turning and I disconnected it after that. That was a simple test to see if these drill motors would be any good with NO load and running very very slow. At its normal drill speed I think it would of reached n
