Right lads, what's you're opinions on feeding lamb?

I've always swayed away from it, as I don't want the dogs from making the connection between sheep =food!

I have lamb on tap though, & it seems a crying shame to keep throwing it in the hole! (If it has died)

My dogs are great with stock, but I also know a dogs sense of smell is 40,000 times greater than a humans, what are you're opinions on this subject guys?

:-)):-)) :-)) that's the funniest thing I have heard all day, I best stop feeding my dogs mackerel before they take up fishing :-))
when the hell do you lamp you're dog through a flock of mackerell

  3. Right lads bear with me, what was the best fox dog you saw? Which way bred & type? (Racy, heavy etc?)

There were a few dogs that did all quarry, but for some reason danced around a fox, makes no sence, what was the best fox dog you saw that would do all quarry also? I've seen a lot of dogs run, & always compare them to my old bitch who was 3/8 5/8 bull grey x grey. Exceptional on fox, also a very good friend had a super racy bullxgrey x wheatenxgrey that would catch 90% of the foxes she was slipped on, very fast bitch, round here the fields aren't big & they're never in the middle so you need a good turn of pace, all pre ban reminiscing ?

  4. Hi all, I'm looking for a fast all rounder, ideally 25"-26", I live in s Wales, so would have to suit the quarry around here, Allthough I do travel to permission in England, so the dog would also have to suit there too! Ideally a little bit of bull, don't particularly care what else, so long as it does its job! It'll be 90% lamping, and must be 110% with sheep as I have a farm.

Perhaps the dog/bitch didn't excell at one aspect of hunting etc, it may still be handy for what I want!? There's a permanent home here for the right candidate.

Get in touch via pm if you'd prefer, cheers.

  5. I'm in the market for a new lamp, I've always used the light force 170 with 2 inline batteries on a belt, which has been fine, but I need a new one, so what do you guys use? What are the led lamps like? With the 8ah batts? Or would you stick with halogen & upgrade to 14ah lion? & what exactly is hid? Cheers in advance!

  6. I'm looking for a lurcher at around 7-12 months, an animal to make 25-27 inches, A bull grey x sal grey, or bull grey x deer grey, preferably with a lot of greyhound, ie a 3/4 bred, if you've got something that's seriously fast & bred out of good stuff, & is a bit different to the breeds above, pm me with info! This animal will need to do deer & fox regularly if the ban gets lifted! Willing to travel for the right animal, & cash waiting thanks in advance?
