just though i would add some more pics of the ferret setup witch is almost finished. i have installed 12v led lighting in the hutch and run ready for the winter nights. i have also made a ferret wheel which is almost finished just waiting for colie/grey to brighten it up with a spot of paint.

I never really went to school either, give me pen and paper and im abit lost, but anything to do with making things no bother, most things i do are self taught.

No we didn't work from plans, the plans on the other page lol! Just did one bit at a time starting with the hutch, and then working with the space i had left. The plans were in my head. Thankyou for the FIVE STAR reply

It's good to see that someone else has put thought into their ferrets home. Nice little setup.

Thankyou to all for your great comments, i enjoyed making it for them too! It will be great to see them running around. They are going to give me and collie/grey some great sport, so they deserve to be looked after physically and mentally. Will be adding a wheel and a hammock hopefully in the near future. Just a quick question, will the ferrets be ok climbing the ladders and platforms as the top level is quite high, just worried that they may fall off and hurt themselves? Was thinking of putting a small platform in the middle to stop such a big fall but not sure.

Just thought i would show everyone some pics of the hutch and run i made for mine and collie/greys ferrets. They have a combined sleeping area and run at the top and underneath they have a combined 2nd level run for when they don't want to go into the main run. All of the exit routes are pipes of some sort that they have to go down or into, the kits are only young at the mo so they haven't really been in the outside run properly yet. It took about a week to finish in total and we have had the ferrets since sunday afternoon, all settling in very well. Collie/grey took most of the pics. The p

He isn't from any specific lines i don't think. But he is from working stock and not show rubbish. His sire was a working trials champion Jotunheim Vip. His dam was a deutch import Hadja Von Der Rheydter Hohe. Im not fussed on his breeding as long as he does as i want him to.

Hi all, just thought i would do a progress report on my belgian malinios blitz. I have had him since he was 6 weeks old and he turned a year old a few days ago. He is about 25'' tts and around 30kg. He has been out on the lamp a handful of times and he picked it up really well and has had a few easy runs and made two catches. He will be ready for the hard work this season. He has been a relatively easy dog to train. He has good prey drive, excellent nose, endless stamina and a good bite! He has good speed also but i think his stamina will get him more catches. He is a good protector and will

Best Lurcher Cross In Your Opinion .. ?
jemblitz replied to Dan_Jones's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
That's two seperate questions. 1. what's the best lurcher cross in your opinion? In my opinion the 3/4 x be it bull or collie, that is 3/4 grey. The second question, best cross for bunnys day and night, a whip/grey would be the best in my opinion. -
thanks for the replies peeps. TM trust you to comment on that pic......

He is a well behaved pup and responds incredibly well to my commands, he is also very loyal, his retrieving is coming on bit by bit and he has had a taste of the quarry he will one day be tracking............ Hopes are high for him. oh and a bit of young puppy porn, world.hunters storm loved it.............. He has no self respect.................... what a softie aww.......

No im not going to do shutzhund with him, just want to try him out lamping with the lurchers and he is going to be a good guard dog. I got him from london, his breeder owns a martial arts gym and then the canine protection services, here's the link to his website http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/shinboku.

Hi all, im new to the forum just introduced myself in the new members section, now im introducing my pup, he's a 12 week old belgian malinios called blitz and hopefully will be good use for next season. He is from good working lines, his sire is a police dog and has working trials champion titles and his dam was a belgian import, from the best belgian lines. I've had him since 6 weeks old and he's doing great. Here are some pics of him through his 6 weeks growing, will keep posting his progress.

Just joined this site as my other half collie/grey asked me too and i thought it would be a good idea. New to hunting, especially lamping, and loving it, i don't have lurchers or terriers, but i have a 12 week old belgian malinios called blitz who i am hoping to start working with collie/greys lurchers next season. All the best j/b
