  1. I was told by my local gundealer that there is now no requirement to hold a game license, although, yes, they are still available. As far as selling rabbits, none of the butchers in my area have ever askd to see a license, although they do insist that the rabbits are ready for the fridge (gutted and skinned). This is because they are no longer allowed to have 'unprepared 'meat on display.
  2. I recently switched from RWS super-H-point to RWS superdoom (sorry, superdomes) and I'm very impressed with them I've had a few through and throughs with them. Using a 12 ft/lb rifle at around 25 yards, but this doesn't seem to bother the bunnies too much after all, a .22 pellet in one side of the head, through the brain, and out the other side, equals dead bunny LOL I have noticed that my groupings have improved slightly using the superdomes, but I don't generally try for groupings in a rabbit or pigeon anyway.
  3. I regularly use my BSA Lightning - and the rabbits, pigeons and squirrels that I've shot would definitely not say it's a toy (well, if they could speak anyway ) I also use a BSF Bavaria, and an HW95 - also both at 12 ft/lbs, and these seem to settle the pest problem fairly effectively too Admittedly, if I could afford a PCP, then I would probably apply for an FAC rating, and get the power turned uo, but at the moment, 12 ft/lb does just fine
  4. Hi all, new to this forum, but been on some othes for a while. I enjoy shooting rabbits and pigeons (airgun mainly) and going ferreting. I continue to try snaring/trapping, with very limited success - but I'll get to grip with it eventually
