  1. No breed particularly annoys me....at work I see pretty much every breed going and sadly it is the owners that annoy me the most...people who have Labradoodles and Cockerpoos that talk to me like they are kennel club registered show quality dogs really get to me i can't help but point out that they're dog is in fact a cross-breed and will never win crufts!lol

And spoilt/babied dogs who are scared of their own shadow and not properly socialized irritate me too.

  2. Hey...I thought i would post this here as well as everywhere else i can think of..

I have a customer at work who had aher dog stolen from her back garden two weeks ago. She is devestated and would like her to be returned safely and asap...so i turn to you guys and girls on here and ask you to please please please keep your eyes peeled, her name is Alaska and she is a long haired GSD x Husky and has very disitinctive bright blue eyes.

She was taken from Longstock in Hampshire just outside of Andover and her mum thinks that whoever took her may well of headed down to the Dorset Steam Fair if any of you are there at all this weekend please keep your eyes and ears open, she is a much loved family pet and missed very much.

I have included two pictures of her for you all to see...should anybody know anything about her whereabouts any information would be greatly appriciated...

  3. They have they're own garden in which the dog would go in mostly but as it was a nice day they took the dog to the communal garden as do others that live there and own dogs...and as you dont know them or the dog i dont think you have any right in saying anything bad..the dog was well looked after and loved and if any of them messed they would be cleaned up after....but again that is beside the point.

Shepp i respect what you are saying and you are entitled to your own opinion so i don't want to argue...if you don't agree don't sign it...you don't need to go and leave a message saying so.

I asked for it all to be read and respected and i would expect no less from fellow dog people...

  4. Isn't the point of communal gardens to have freedom of space, it is a shared garden which itself is fenced but the hives were not....it wasn't the fact that there were hives but more the fact the bees had not been properly cared for which resulted in an over population and hives being situated in the surrounding trees and the bees aggression can be hightend due to this....the fact is that it was an accident and this is known but it could of been a child of which they're many that play in the gardens...they do not want the bees destroy'd just relocated to a more suitable area where they will be looked after properly.

If you don't agree with the petition that is fine i have asked nicely for people not to start speaking ill of it...i don't know what part of it deeply offends you RicW but it is each to they're own, if it was one of your own dogs though you would be thinking the same as everyone else...and would be equally as devestated.

Veedublee and lab-tastic...we all thought the same as you but as the police were informed of the event and there are some other things the neighbour has done it wouldn't be worth it to do anything...and like i said they just want the bees moved so this kind of situation can be avoided again.

  5. Hi everyone...

I realise that this post isn't concerning Lurchers, Terriers, Spaniels or any other 'working' dog but it does concern a dog that I had the pleasure of knowing since she was 8 weeks old...she was a Black German Shepard called Sara...

Please go to the link below and read the very sad outcome of Sara's very short life...and if you wouldn't mind signing the petition it would be very much appreciated....

I understand they're might be some people on here that maybe don't agree with what the petition is all about but she was a much loved family pet and it was a devastating piece of news not just to the family but to friends a like....all I ask is if you don't agree with it please don't start slagging it off....

Thank you for taking the time to read this post...

  7. Tick hook...and i use Advocate instead of Frontline...found that fleas and ticks are becoming immune to frontline where it is the most commonly used tick/flea treatment..

    no chance!

Each to there own...at work we have had numerous dogs coming in having been frontlined...they have done they're house and the dog beds and everything and the fleas aren't dying so i'm only saying what i have seen...Advocate has worked on my two and they havent had ticks since i've been using it...end of the day its whatever you find works for you and your dog...:)

  8. Nasty lil'things.....we had a ESS come into work a few years ago and we removed 72 of them....they were all over his back...head..ears..legs..feet..in between his toes...tail...belly...everywhere and they went from tiny ones to very full very fat and grey ones..it was horrible...when you stroked him it was just bumpy, worst thing is the owner didn't know...

I'm fairly lucky with my two and they very rarely pick them up...but they get checked after every walk especially the terrier...lol

Best thing to remove them is a tick hook...great little thing and so quick, and although most of you probably know don't put Vaseline on them, this causes them to suffocate, die and fall off..that's great but the throw the blood they have taken back into the body and therefore increases the risk of lymes disease....:/

My 20-year old daughter came to stay last year and I bought her first tat, a Lady GaGa clone, for her birthday. Then I thought "This is daft. I've always fancied a tat and me lass has beaten me to it! Get on the case chap." They are addictive aren't they? :whistling:

    Ric

They are addictive...you'll be covered in no time...:)

I can't wait for my dad to get his done...its been a long time coming...lol :)

  11. Nobody says you have to love them on women...as long as the women they are on love them thats all that matters...:)

And i agree to point on tribal some people get it because they can't think of anything else to get done but want a tattoo....but some people do think about it long and hard and the tribal design they chose means something to them...:)

    Miss T x

Its called fashion/trends......everything moves in cycles of late its tribal in a few years time it will be something else, when i was young it was eagles or anything that was spelt right :D .......they think a tribal tattoo has some deep meaning thats unique....but when every f****r has one its not really unique is it,especially when nobody knows what they mean....if its meaningful why have it in a foreign language or some weird unknown foreign symbol

You say " as long as the women they are on love them thats all that matters "...........well why the need to show them off then ? surely if all that matters is that you like them why the need for everyone else to see.....you know its there  ......Anyway,you crack on......i think im getting old :D

Tribal will always be around...It may not always be height of the fashion trend but it will be there none the less...:)

I don't have any tribal or foreign symbols/languages but like i said its each to their own...

And its not a need to show them off but if people ask about them i'll show them...If i was to keep them hidden it would be like i was ashamed of them and that is one thing i'm not...each and everyone has meaning and has been done at a certain point in my life...:)

And RicW....agreed with Amanda...my dad is 61 and is getting his first one in july....:)

  13. Everyone always says to me...what about when your older?? all i can say is when i'm older most of the people my age will be covered in tattoos too....as long as people get tattoos for themselves and not anyone else i dont think it matters....It's each to their own at the day...if somebody wants tribal up their arm so be it...it's a timeless tattoo the style never gets old...:)

    Miss T x

Well i cant stand tattoos on women full stop.....so best i bail out here i think :D

As regards that tribal stuff.....to me a tattoo should have some kind of meaning to the person its on,we are not tribal people and we dont really know what it all means its just a bunch of squiggly lines.....so the person wearing it doesnt understand it,and nobody looking at it can understand it......dont make sense to me people should take more pride in themself......but who am i to judge we all do daft things just some are more permanent than others.

  15. Id say the downside of tats is having the fuckers removed !!....very few people ive ever known have been as happy 30 years later as they were when they had them done.

When you first get them done you think wow dont i look cool....but how many people have the same mindset at 20 as they do at 50 !....Some of the ones folk are having now are shocking, all this tribal shit whats all that about a white Englishman having some weird shit up his arms that nobody knows what it is that might originate in some tribe nobodies ever heard of......very odd
