  5. a farmer down in warrington let me on his land today, he told me there was no rabbits but alot of crows and wood pigeons knocking about, had a good day with the birds though got around 4 pigeons in the 2 hours I was there, Im using the cometa 300s and was amazed how easy it is to put a decent shot out to 30 yards with it.
  6. sort of got the scope thing sorted, it only seems to happen when im using about 5 x zoom so i have been sticking at 3 - 4, cheers for the help geeza appriciated
  7. yeah will giv that ago, just wondering aswell about how much the wind has an effect on a shot e.g can the wind send u out by 2 inches at 20 yards during a medium gust or is it just my junior shooting (using domed acupells) lol
  8. yeah its pretty good, feels nice and solid and well built, getting 1 inch groups at about 20 yards, only when resting my gun on something though lol, having trouble with my scope though after a bit the recticule starts to go blurry and seem to dissapere i know its not the scope but my eye playing tricks on me is there anything i can do to combat this??
  9. ended up with my first choice the cometa 300s mossey oak with a massive ags scope on it. got the lot gun bag pellets targets all for 230 which i dindnt think was to bad, only fired 3 shots up 2 now. gonna get in the garden now and try to zero it (shud be fun lmao).
  10. yeah im goin down to the shop on monday, so if theve got one in il get it with the 3-9 x 40, willing to spend 300 for the full kit, I probs wouldnt notice a difference in performance as im new to shooting but it seems bsa is more reputable, plus it looks alot meaner than the 300. il let use know how good me haggleing skills are soon lol.
  11. Im sposed to be picking up a cometa 300 mosey carbine next week with either a Hawke Or AGS 3-9x40 scope and gunbag for 230 pound is it worth in vesting abit more for the tactical XL ? cheers
  12. Tucker, there are a lot of good people on this site from your area, try getting to know them & i am sure at some point you will find yourself on safe ground doing what you would like to do yeah cheers all appriciated
  13. not the best idea to shoot on any wasteland mate no matter how big! unless you like the sound of helicopters join a local club first and get to know your gun, confidence in hitting your quarry can only be achieved with practice once you've got there set to work on finding a shoot . try yell.com for farmers and get knocking on some doors . good luck thought tht lol, where do I stand on target sooting in my garden as I have about 25 m x 20m back garden and the pellets would be hitting a safe back drop, could neighbours say owt about this
