like millet said if you dont give it 1oo% a harris hawk is as good but you put time into a gos he will prob catch more quarry than he miss's,nice bird millet i have a male from tony i think it same father but diff mother to yours from 2yr ago, he flew at 2lb but was imprinted.I would say a lot of time / commitment and plenty of winged quarry to go at..and for me a knowledgable Goshawker to feed me with endless information..Im on with training my first Goshawk so i could not realy answer the question properly but im giving it my 100% as i think all bird's should be given..and hopefully that should make a good gos..but time can only tell..

im after a male do you know what sort of weight they are? and if he is having any this year. also are what was tthe parents worked on ..
I flew both parents, only flew the female on rabbits as the terrain did not suit her, she flew at 2lb 10. The male took rabbit, pheasant and squirels, he was extremely good at waiting on and very obedient bird. He flew at 2lb 2. The parents have got chicks now but I dont know what they are but will find out by weekend.

hi sham hope the telementry ok,i used to fly birds through the moult as long as u keep the birds abit higher in weight to help with the moult, there r supplements out now to put on your birds food to help with the growth of new feathers,u will find your birds will fly at a higher weight through the summer probaly.
Any One Feed Moles ?

Hawks won't touch moles, soon as they break through they skin they will throw them to the ground, something to do with the taste of they blood and meat, I used to trap them for farmers and sometimes leave them on fence poles for wild buzzards an they turn they noises up at them for sum reason!
