  1. Along with the Phox and Coyote they are one of the most underrated PCPs out there.

What you're getting is basically a BSA Buccaneer, BSA built and really well set up. Good consistency and shotcount.

The only thing you need to alter is the 2nd stage screw, replace it with a 2.5 x 10mm with the tip rounded off. Adjust to get the feel you want and set with locyite.

the worst people in this and all elections are the people themselves......the lazy disinterested fucks...who are the first to  piss gripe and moan................AND THEY HAVE NEVER CAST THEIR VOTE in the first place............

Totally agree, vote or in future shut the f**k up. Better still, those who don't vote shouldn't get pay rises, tax cuts, child benefits or pensions. If they don't care, I f****n don't either.

Just looking at the bbc news page and I notice the wogs have been on a murder spree this week, “a 20 year old from Croydon” arrested for stabbing two women in Dorset, 5 people including a child shot on the street in Hackney and a lad working in a watch shop murdered in a robbery by 2 odd marks……..I bet absolutely none of that will get talked about at election time.

Any crimes by the spearchuckers rarely gets a mention nowadays, it's hardly news is it? Primitive savages behaving like primitive savages.

Well well well, the big man Nigel Farage has just taken over the leadership of the Reform party I wish him all the best, they say when you hear Drakes drum a hero comes to save the day well that drum has been banging in my ears for a while now.

That finishes Roland Rat Sunak quite nicely, Starmer "my dad was a tool maker" won't be happy either.

Yes his dad was a toolmaker, he fathered that dickhead didn't he?

Very true that id want them to enjoy it I also thought the same with the fishing like if I take em n catch nowt they'll get bored n not want to go again lol were as if they a few bites n see a one being brought in they'd get the buzz

There's plenty of campsites that have ponds or lakes to fish. I've found one near Dorchester that I can book a pitch right next to the swim I want, I'll probably take my grandson there for a few days.

Thanks I don't to get much stuff as I unfortunately don't to get to have them often but my oldest has mentioned camping a couple of times now and also fishing surprisingly living in London which is something else I was never good at lol

I'm in Central Lancashire by the way..

You could do it cheaper but if the boys have a miserable time they won't want to go again. If they enjoy it they'll want to go again and there's no reason you can't go when the nippers are elsewhere. I take my youngest sometimes but I go far more often on my own, sometimes with the Tentbox but also wildcamping with a 2 man tent on the ebike.

Also any tent recommendations that are easyish to put up not been camping since a little kid myself n that could count on one hand thanks in advance

See on the thread you started. Use Google to find campsites in the area you want, there's loads.

  8. Mate has just got a eurohike genus 400 airbeam tent for him and his boys, no poles, just pump and peg it for £250 from go outdoors. Airbeds to sleep on, sleeping bags but normal pillows. Double gas burner for cooking but use cartridge gas rather than bottles, I get 4 for £5.

Folding table/benches, kids can eat at it of play games.

Decent cooler box, most sites will freeze blocks for you. Alternatively you can get a 12v/240v cooler. I have a big one that runs on the mains overnight to chill down then runs on 12v wherever I'm driving. £90 from Halfords. Use plates and mugs, pots and utensils from home.

Get a couple of hanging rechargeable lights, get the boys a torch each for a night time walk.

Make it fun! If you can have a fire teach them to cook dampers or sausages on a stick.

  9. They got the ferry to Stromness today, smooth crossing. Settled into a lovely place with a sea view. The lads have been out on the kayaks for a try out while they plan a 2 night wild camp. It's warmer up there than down here!

That’s the one … I thought it was really good but then I’m a bit of a geek with boats and water ….. I put everything I could into the search engine and couldn’t find it … I started having a bit of a autism meltdown and had t9 go walk the dogs to get it out my head …… thank you so much 👍👍👍👍 …..

Get hold of a book called "The way of a transgressor" by Negley Farson. American guy who had an amazing life. He got hold of a boat in Southampton, refitted it and went to Europe via Rotterdam. Took rivers and canals and got all the way to Romania. Took the Kette boat (chain driven tow) up the Frankishe Jura mountain river, made it to the Danube and the marshes, fished for sturgeon and shot ducks for food. An incredible life story.

  11. Jim spent a couple of weeks on the NC 500 last year, would have been longer but he went down a bike trail that was worse than expected. Came a cropper and buggered his right arm and shoulder.

    Proper trip that is!!

Are they stopping at the Nevis range with the vans mate??

Fair play to them.. I'm well envious!!

Yep, the van and the car with the tentbox on top. Tomorrow they're going up again on the MTBs. Then a rest day before the next bit, they're watching for a weather window to do a 2 night 3 day kayak trip around the Orkneys. They've got a few days booked in a croft somewhere so the girlfriends and Jims mum are flying up to join them. Sadly I couldn't make this trip but I did Snowdon with them last year. Well they did Snowdon, I stayed and did some kayaking, cooked their meals and did their laundry! 🤣

  13. He's on his way down now, a quick bbq and then they're going off on the bikes somewhere. I've got an app called life 360 on the phone so I can track wherever he is. He might be 40 but it don't stop me worrying! Last year he had a bad fall in the same area and drove back to Somerset unable to use his right arm.

Good kayaks Tim, if yours has the wheel in the keel, just be a little careful as they can break at the axle. I used to get kayaks sent to me for testing and review writing and in fact I had the Moken 10, 12 and 14 fishing kayaks from them so I can say the Moken 12 / 12.5 was my favourite.  I set up the UK team for Jackson Kayaks from USA which again were brilliant kayaks and the 14' Cuda I kept, I fitted with a Torqeedo 1hp electric motor which was fantastic. If you are going to fit anchor trolley or fish finder and not to sure about fitting, just let me know and I will talk you through it Tim.

I do like the look of your bike Tim, I am fancying the smaller wheel, folding type which seem to do well off road but a stretch for my pension at this time (or any bloody time if I am being honest.)

    Phil

Thanks Phil, my son made up a trolley with wide wheels for getting down the beach, it attaches through the drain holes. The kayak is light enough to get on and off the car on my own.

If you go for an ebike be aware that the wide wheel folders are extremely difficult to pedal normally and usually more expensive than large wheel non folders. Mine was £784 last summer and has been great, Longest ride to date was 37 miles and managed just under 50 miles on a charge. I often use mine in preference to the car, I can carry a full food shop and stop off for a couple of beers on the way home. On nice days I just go out for the fun of it.

There is an earlier model, the M1 or M1+ which can be found for around £600

I used to do a lot of kayak fishing both at sea and freshwater which I loved, still have one small surf kayak but as I get further into old fartdom, I don't use it anymore in fact I need to see about selling it.  I also really fancy an e-bike, the naughty ones that will run without pedaling, fully folding with chunky tires so I could use it on the farms or reaching some of my distant fishing marks along the shoreline.

    Phil

Lots of ebikes have a throttle option and most can be tweaked to up the top speed. I only really use the power on hills, that increases the range by a lot.

I got an Eleglide T1, unlike most bikes it came with lights, mudguards and a decent back rack. I've added a trailer which attaches to the seat post, there's a few places I fish that I can't get close with the car but the bike gets me there.

My kayak is a Feelfree double, very stable, I pack the fishing gear or camping stuff in the front and use it in fresh water and at sea. It's great fun paddling along the coast and finding little places to stop overnight.

Not too bad thanks mate, getting older, more aches and pains but retired now so more time on my hands. Less shooting since rabbits are almost non existent round here. Just a few shots to keep the magpies away from my nesting birds and check zero.

Took up kayaking and got an ebike, Tentbox on the car so plenty of mini breaks. Doing some stealthy wildcamps with the ebike and a 2 man tent, great fun.
