  1. Difficult one. As a creaky old geriatric myself I'd like to keep going as long as I can and it's the same for the dogs. You've got them for life in my book. If you bring on a pup to take over the bulk of the work let the old one keep going as long as they have the will to try. The sort of stuff I (used to) do will one day be too much for the heart and lungs but better than being left behind in kennel.

If you set the dog onto the cat deliberately ( I know you didn't but just suppose ..) you could be charged with cruelty under one of the cruelty to animal laws (don't know which one) - even then someone would have to witness that they saw you do that. Say for instance you were in a busy street and a lot of people saw you setting the dog onto the cat then you could get prosecuted. A loose dog killing a loose cat isn't a crime as far as I believe. It might be worth checking that the area where you were wasn't restricted e.g. you could get a slapped wrist for trespassing or not keeping the
  3. I think the natterjack toad is our most poisonous one and even then it is not on the scale of other countries but keep an eye on him. Hope he's ok. Tell him next time a toad offers him "lick my back" he should Just Say No denzil
  4. I've lurked a bit on the health forum and decided to register to see the rest of the site . Just very average point and release type lurcherwork. The dog and I rub along ok together and do just enough to worry local wildlife and qualify for a hunting forum. Hope you can budge over and make room for another member.
