I just signed up, having read a few of the threads.
I moved into an old farm house a year ago when I retired from proper work. It has a couple of small fields and is just in the Forrest of Bowland.
Over the last year I have been trying to keep down the rabbit population with my Walther springer air gun. This seems to have worked to some extent as there appear to be far fewer around - but I will wait to spring before I get too cocky!
My bigger problem has been moles. They come in from the surrounding fields to my lawn and make a right mess. Last spring I got half a dozen
