  1. Was a very enjoyable card all told. Louis greene with a fantastic first round ko, huni and lerena tried to take each others heads off, fairplay to lerena boxing 2days after his mother passed away.

Nick ball and Ray vargas fight of 2 halves, despite ball having everything against him physically, he does what he usually does and fought his heart out. Parker came back to outbox zhang, gavin gwynne suffered a bad beating, and aj got one of the best KOs I think I have ever seen. And madrimov and kurbanov delivered. Great card.

  2. Ron mcIntosh is the pinnacle for ridiculous sports commentating, I find him hilarious though.

If you listen to a fight night on the radio you'll hear all sorts out of him, he loves to describe where fighters are 'on the clock face'

He compared joe Parker to a fighter in street fighter once,

  3. 100% a forced act. See some old videos of him the other week ago, when he was still in team GB, and he was sparring with that style for years etc etc, that may be so, but that ain't gonna stop the inevitable imo, he's gonna get beaten, likely stopped as he climbs the ranks

He's in great shape, lives the life, but it's not for me, all that prancing about and waving your hands about against such low opposition

People calling him a future world champ are off their heads in my opinion

I thought that Liam Williams fight was a bit close to the mark to be honest.....they'll probably give him a couple of dead bodies to cover it up over the next year but it looked obvious the lads gone and was just nicking one last pay day....dont like to see that.

I agree, I think the knowledge was there between him and lockett that it was likely the end of the road for him and they just wanted to give it one last go, he looked all over the place and the towel came in early.

Ryders done the sensible thing, got out as soon as he knew he wasn't what he was physically, great little read in the boxing news a couple of weeks ago about his reasonings.

  5. It's the operatives test which you've done and then the hs&e test

You can do it online if you've got a webcam for the test day, easy as you like it is, just sit there for a few hours going through the modules then it's all the same old common sense bulls*t that the operatives test is really

    • Thanks 1
  6. Haney and garcia have already fought a few times in the amateurs, be interesting to see how they match up as pros.

Haney is extremely skilled, Ryan's in the top list of wealthiest boxers I read somewhere.

What a fight there from dillon and bellotti! No f**cking about whatsoever, all effort from bell to bell.

Liam Williams punch resistance is gone, done in 1 by sheeraz.

Wardley- Clarke made and buatsi-yarde looks like it's gonna come off aswell.

  7. Tyson was beat last night fair and square

He turned up for a payday ngannou turned up to have a fight

Fury can't have even had a proper camp he was flat, all over the place and not in it at all. I've always rated tyson and been behind him but I'm only saying what I see, he was a beaten man last night and there is no way he fights usyk on the 23rd of December

And as for ngannou, homeless on the streets 11year ago, he done unreal last night I thought, fit as can be, strong with it, and switched on all night long

That was supposed to be an exhibition and fury was gonna do this an gonna do that but ngannou ripped the script up and done his own thing

  8. John ryders gutsy performance against canelo was a highlight of an otherwise boring weekend for boxing. Best fight other than that was the denny vs McGowan fight

Nobody deserved a good payday more than ryder,a no nonsense fighter who just goes to work

Yes buatsi is a very strange one,I can't bear to watch him to be honest, all the talent is there but he would put a glass eye to sleep

Here it is ..my 24 year old daughter paid to watch the fight, she's never sat and watched a fight with me before..  she was sending up dates on the fight to my Mrs... ffs!!

I just rolled my eyes and took the dog out lol

Love island, you tube fame but rank novices headlining a sold out fight... madness... but here we are..

The unfortunate thing is real fight fans are turned off by this so Tommy who wants to progress as a boxer is instantly seen as part of the circus...or maybe the quick cash is better than coming up through the ranks the old fashioned way...I suppose you can't blame em for cashing in, just not my cup of tea at all...

Yes that's exactly it mate, it was a spectacle that got people who are nowhere near interested in boxing watching and talking  and when you consider last night there was some great boxing on, tsyzu vs Harrison, and there's some great fights coming up, like inoue-fulton, you realise it's a sign of the times and utter madness

While jake paul fetch new interest in the sport from youngsters? As in wanting to take it up? Remains to be seen..

But I agree with you,not my cup of tea

  10. Some of them shots Joyce was taking from Parker, he held them and just looked straight through the man ?

Where does eubank jnr go from here? If he's to continue boxing I'd get rid of jones Jr,great fighter but he's doing jnr no favours, and I'd also stop relying on reflexes when I'm in a corner with a man tee'ing off on me

I thought he was having his moments, but did look noticeably like the weight had played a bit of a part, but nevertheless Liam Smith tucked up,had a look at Eubank, saw his openings and went for it, Smiths been in the game a long time, and that was all it took, a look and then putting into motion

I must admit I didn't expect jnr to be stopped like that, but that's fighting and it can happen to anyone

Out of curiosity Mchull......was you interested in all that Ufc stuff when it first came about in the early 90's ?......i honestly thought it was a breath of fresh air.....at last " real fighting " i thought......i went to a few Vale Tudo tournaments it even inspired me to start taking it all a bit more serious in gyms back then....but little by little more and more rules came in so as not to upset folk and now your left with something thats not even close to a real fight.........just for once i thought " sport " was going to override " money "....but no.....its a huge industry now of course but with the way it was promoted in them early days todays version always leaves a bit of a sour taste for me.

This mob is the closest lot to trying to keep it real as possible these days I think

  12. Lopez deserved that, didn't think he would be given the decision though in Leeds

Can't stand Josh Warrington, horrible fighter to watch, and i don't rate him at all

Teofimo Lopez vs Sandor Martin tonight aswell, feel Martin could get it, good fighter
