nah the last thing i want to be doing when out on a days ferreting is digging.....i try other ways first diggings a last resort

ive been looking at some of the ferrets on thl lately some of them are huge....i try to have small ferrets so i dont have to dig and dont get lay ups.....most of the posts now all have a bit of digging do you think these changes are because locators have come out?

I Bet they're glad they work for you . Poor buggers, course you can feed them on rabbit. just because i dont feed them rabbit they are poor beggers.....should i not feed them pheasant pigeon chicken either i bet im wrong doing that too

i always had the thought that if you fed your ferret rabbit then they had the taste for it and more likely to kill whilst in a sett....i was told that years ago and have never fed my ferrets rabbit

happens to so many people in this game it is a shame had pups stolen to never see them again and had my 2 bitches and my old dog stolen and got them back.....sometimes you get lucky and get them back....all the best in getting them back

when i start working a ferret i let them have a mooch about above the sett and let it go down the wholes on its own....always seems to work for me....i dont normally force them i will put them next to the hole......one of my ferrets i have got at the moment is this seasons and it would work hole to hole not going down deep enough.....i did the same let it keep coming up out of each hole let it wander then it finally cracked and started going deeper and started bolting

had the other jil home for a couple of hours in the house got a shoebox with a hot water bottle underneath it with hay in.....given the ferret some eggs and she seems to be getting better.....shes stopped rolling about so much a lot more calmer she wouldnt eat at first either so doing a lot better

went ferreting today.....whilst i was ferreting i left my jill in the box while my other jil was working.....we had already done a few sets by this time......and the jil that i left in the box was all fidgety i thought it had just been stung by stinging nettles nd had a bit of an itch so go on working my other ferret on the set.....went back to the box after finishing the set and the ferret was literally dead....choking or something and couldnt breathe.....5 mins later was dead.....started to go home and my other jil started to do the same.....its like it cant breathe keeps opening its mouth n
