    Hi Rez Not yet, just bought a springer to get started but just bought what I liked the feel of with little knowledge so hopefully not too big a mistake, got the LGV master, but i had set my sights on an Impact RM100 to begin with and may treat myself to one in .22 for xmas, or some other decent gas ram. At this point I dont know enough to make a judgement on whats good and whats not but I would like one of each.

    This is probably a much discussed thing but I am new to the sport and the site and would like to know the opinion of experienced shooters. I bought an LGV master pro for my first gun and as I have only had it a week I am still finding my way. I had in the first place been looking at an Impact RM100 but the shop I went to said to avoid gas rams totally. Not sure why, any views on this?

    Hi lewis, It is not a gloss finish, it is satin or matt finish.

    Hi Lewis It is Hesse-lignal GE11254 plus hardener . If it is not urgent I can pick a small amount up from a dealer and send to you FOC, I wont be at our dealers for a couple of weeks but if you can wait I can send you some . I really wouldnt go the other route as the finish would degrade quickly if it gets any water on it as it has no drying agents within it and would need re doing often which would become a pain.

    Hi there A few things with this. i am a technician for a manufacturer in Germany of oil and lacquers etc for wood and I would hesitate to use something like walnut oil for the reason it has no surface resistance, if you take your gun outside and it gets rained on etc the oil will not last very long. Be careful also to dispose of any rags you use by washing in clean water and laying fkat to dry , vegetable oils etc can self combust. If you want to have a go at oiling your stock we have a two compnent oil ( uses a hardener) which is vey resistant to weather, scratching etc. We su

    Thanks to everyone for the replies, i will keep at it, any opinions on the rifle? Good choice or not for a starter? I went in after an HW95 but somehow walked out with the LGV master pro! As I didnt know anyone to ask I had to rely on the shop which is not always a great idea, at least my experience with high end bows seemed to be that way, must have gone through half a dozen before experience led me through all the nonsense to a decent piece of kit, a very expensive journey, albeit a learning one.     Thanks Dave, I'm not a weakling I think, I was a bow shooter for years but I find it very difficult keeping the gun steady . Only just started and there are so many opinions and different choices and ideas it is confusing at first. I went and bought the LGV master really on a whim and was wondering if I had made a daft choice due to weight etc. And that was the problem. Looking to find a club near me now in north wales so I can get in plenty of prCtice, thanks again.

    Hi all, I am new to the sport and find that shooting my springer standing my crosshairs are wobbling all over the place. I have tried regulating my breathing to no avail and wondered if anyone had any other tips , my gun is an LGV .177 so about average weight I guess but cannot fathom how to hold a steady aim when notnusing a stand of somekind.
