In my experience  which is not vast by any means

The rifle i most regret getting rid of is the weihrauch HW90 (gas strut) .22 with a 4 x 40 scope, something about that rifle filled me with confidence,a confidence i have never had in any other rifle since :( so why did i get rid of it????? well i had some fines to pay,and it was the only thing i had that was worth anything at the time :icon_eek:

Ive never really got to grips with the trajectory of .22's compared with the flatter trajectory of the .177,but the Hw90 seemed very forgiving in that respect

The next rifle i owned was the crosman 'triplestrike' which was ,despite what ive read in magazine reports,an extremly accurate and capable rifle, dunno if they are still available but i would deffo have another one, cheap reliable and accurate.

After that came the RWS 34,not a very glamourous looking rifle but again, very powerful and accurate,i leant this to a [bANNED TEXT] and never got it back realmad.gif ,now hes moved and he is also an anti realmad.gif

Next up was the publics favourite rifle  the Airarms Jackal in .22,which i think they called the'firepower' cos it had a tube filled with pellets,to make loading easier, which it didnt really,so i took the tube off. Military styling, abs stock, M16 lookalike, frightens the feck outta the public, which is probably why it aint available no more. Still got this one ,mainly cos its so easy to use and its bash resistant.

Then there was the Webley Vulcan in .22, which i also still have, dont know why to be honest, its nothing special, but it is just easy to use.

Next up was the Airarms s200 in .22, my first pc rifle,oh dear........................i just could not get on with this rifle,i tried...................cos i heard how everyone elses s200 was brilliant, but mine wasnt, mebbes i just got a bad one,but i had it back to the shop 4 or 5 times because of power fluctuations.

The final straw was when i shot a rabbit smack bang in the head, the rabbit shook its self and ran off  that was it ,i sold it on.

So at the minute i have an old Airarms Jackal in .22 and an old webley vulcan in .22

For the future, well i fancy another gas strut rifle, would love a fenman in .20 but im still waiting to find a decently priced secondhand 1,i have considered fitting the jackal and vulcan with struts, but im still undecided

So thats my little history, i got to admit i lean more towards springers than pre chargers, just my preference search.gif

Ripley predator  now your talking, a friend owns a l/h one[ which makes it hard to shoot as i,m r/h] running at 50 ft/lbs with barracudas, the first time i used it, it destroyed a knock down target at 50 yards, a serious weapon with very serious firepower, and as chris says, as rare as rocking horse shit

Last one I'd seen was going for nearly £700.:D It's a f****n awesome rifle... almost too much fun! :D Nearly lost me job over it as I couldn't get out of bed from going out shooting it all night. Cost me a fortune to fill it :D:D

I believe there were only 250 made chris? that long spring is a b*****d innit? :D this rifle fell foul of the last round of firearms legislation, as did the prototype logun s16.

Sounds about right Baldie. It was around the 300 mark tops. That spring took some getting used to especially as the rifle was that long it was difficult to keep off the deck.

S16 is something I could never get on with. Not a fan at all.
