  1. Her recall is 90% perfect, its been instilled into her from a young pup!!
  2. Hello folks my 20 mth old pup has a very bad habit of jumping up on poeple if we meet anyone out wlking, we put her on her lead if we see people coming but sometimes they come from nowhere and its to late, it doesn't help that people usually put there hands in the air which just encourages her to jump more!!!! Any suggestions??
  3. Yes i agree not old enough yet, don't damage your dogs still developing joints!! if thats all he wont jump at 10mths u've nothing to worry about!
  4. thought you said that to me, then read thread above!! what a a******e  makes you wonder what kinda life some of our beautiful dogs live doesn't it
  5. Glad to hear things are on the up!! Good luck with it
  6. Hi any of your hard killer machine dogs got any weird quirky ways or odd fears, i had a dog that was terrified of flies and cutlery banging together!! yet you could let a bomb off next to him and he couldn't care less!!, i now have a dog that is scared of the wind whistling through the house and doors banging, is this just a collie behaviour or do other crosses do things like this too!
  7. Sorry to hear the trouble your having, sounds like it could be over stimulated 5 times a day is hell of a lot, how long is it out for 5 times a day? How old id it?, i would completely ignore it as any attention you give the whining will encourage it to do it more, try the hose or use a water spray gun but no voice, just squirt it with the water, if you only give attention to it when its quiet it will soon learn to shut up!!! You must have alot of time to be with it if you take it out 5 times a day, your probably giving it to much attention. Good luck hope it improves!!!
  8. Beautiful pics, what crosses are they both, really love the merle!! Looks a super spot to walk/work your dogs.
  9. Nice looking pup, as someone else said looks a bit thin in some pics, does it need worming?? sure it will be a cracker for you!! Atb
  10. Here Here Bird, couldn't agree more, good on you and your family looks like a super dog very similar in shape to my old dog who was collie/greyhound x bed/ whip and he was 24tts. Keep up the good work!!
  11. I dont think its just shit to be fair. Maybe it was just a question but theres to many folk just dying for there bitch to reach an age so they can breed and get pups, never mind if the dog is useless and the pounds are full of pups anyway.... Maybe a short sharp tongue lashing on THL might make folk think twice that pumping out pups is no the best way too go..... She only asked when would be the best time to breed her bitch and instead off some advice she has to take that shit. She has a young dog there and by the sounds off it it will get worked and well looked after and further down t
  12. It is my personal opinion and i am going on her conformation and excellent trainablility, as i say it is my own opinion, i an possibly breeding from her to have a pup for my self and of course i would ensure homes for the rest of the litter first, as i say i may decide not to have any pups yet will see what the future brings
  13. Can i just ask, are most of you from america, the word pound is used by an awful lot of you????
  14. thanks iceman, I am so glad someone is able to read what i said and understand it as a simple question, to all others don't put me in the same catergory as people that are breeding for the sake off it, i am def not desparate for my bitch to reach breeding age so i can farm out loads of puppies, i have never breed before and think my bitch has potential to breed some cracking pups if i can find the right stud dog for her, i will think twice before asking any questions on this site again, its a shame as some of you are very genuine and give great advice and i love reading your advice to others,
  15. Well i dont see why it got so out of hand, i only asked advice on the best age to breed, i did not say i was going to breed from my very young dog NOW and enjoy having lots of unwanted puppies did i?? Everyone else came to that asumption!! Give a girl a break ehh Well if this thread isn't proof enough.....
