  1. There used to be hundreds over here but iv bot seen any in the last few years. I dont know if it was a survivor of them or not tho. My mate reckoned it was a domestic one because of its build but either way should make a nice meat for the pot. I was suprised it was pregnant id have thought the furst litters would have been had by now?
  2. Went out tonight with a mate on a local permission. Walked for nearly two hours to see barely anything. The two shots i did have missed (going to the gym before shooting i have since decided is a bad idea as my arms were like lead weights!) Only marginally but only a headshot would do and im not a fan of torso shots. Anyway to cut it short i got nothing. On driving out to check a regular spot we pass on the way back we passed a HUGE black rabbit at the side of the road (not a real road but one that went into dissrepair years back) we ignored it and checked the other permission and again nothin
  3. also do you need a release valve like on the stirrup pump that lets the back pressure off when you reach your pressure target or can you just pull it straight from the gun once the cylinder is turned off?
  4. hi, i have access to free cylinders/air through my dads work. i charge my gun to 3000psi (approx 207bar?) i need to know (may sound stupid) what cylinder do i need? i have access to a 600litre cylinder at 207barr and i can get access to a 1800 litre 207bar cylinder. will these both be suitiable? and how long/many refills are these likely to last? many thanks, Ross
  5. alright mate hows that land search going, hope its better than mine cheers chris

  6. Off topic but im from measham (next to ashby) just thought id say hi seeing ur local :-)
  7. cheers gents i paid £120 which came with the stirrup pump too. tbf i didnt see a pic till he came to drop it off. i went over it shot it and was happy. if its repaired correctly seems i still got an ok deal. wouldnt agree on the light part. saying that iv been using a mates hw95 and would say they are similarish weights perhaps i just need to man up lol good thing is the little recoil i will post pics when its back either way. thank you all for the input tho, will ask you what you think and can recommend for it am hoping it will be back on wednesday as gunshop taking their time.
  8. Went out myself yday too only saw 4rabbits all night and none stood still long enough to aim at. Nice shooting!
  9. Cheers mate and you. Be good to meet up seeing ur local and shoot sometime :-) keep me informed of ur permission hunt and il do the same be good to team up on them :-)
  10. Hi mate im in village called measham on the border of derbyshire n leicestershire im going to be askin at the local farms as im in the countryside anyway but as iv just started out havnt yet. Iv popped over the local golf course using a friends rifle but dont have permission there so would prefer somewhere legit. Where are you mate?
  11. il have a look when i get it back then, hopefully the shop will let me know too what is the combined barrel end about as i notice not all the ones (i googled) have this? does it do something or is it just a way of delivering the air on newer/older models? also are these a good gun? iv bought it primarily for rabbiting/lamping will it be ok? what are they like to live with? i noticed the reviews mentioned they were light but id class it as pretty heavy lol cheers for the info
  12. yea the bloke in the shop showed me a hw90. he reckoned the falcon was a fairly old one, i googled the gun you said and it hs the same end as this but the butt is completely different. its a "plain" butt and has no holes or hollows. i cant see any logos on it but the wood is fairly wor and it seems well used (will smarte it u when i get it back) so a little unsure. it was on the shops say so its a falcon?
  13. responsible 22 year old looking for somewhere to shoot and learn/refine a skill. im well mannerred, well humoured and respectfull of peoples land and properties. iv been lamping a couple of times but could do with some new haunts. a shooting companion would be welcomed especially if they can give me some tips along the way. have own falcon rifle and debben atom lamp and filter.
  14. similar mate but the bottom bit that sits under the barrel comes up parrallel with the end of the barrel and sits in a metal sleeve sort of thing where the pump airline plugs into.
