well, now i got plenty of time on my hands with no work, and just walking dogs every day, i decided might as well get a few traps out for squirrels, but decided to make some new ones, problem being was joining the wire together,, one phone call to john b, and 2 days later he sent me my clips with pliers, nevewr used these clips before, always used wire and twisted,, no going back for me now, so simple to use, and although i got johns book here i missed the one part in the book which john kindly helped meout with over the phone, when the door shuts at 45 degree angle, putting something just in front of the door to stop them from getting door open,, cant fault john b for his help once again, and i will tell everyone what happened to my larsen trap i had off him, i have had 2 off him now and they work great,, but the second one did not make it to a farm,having guted the spare bedroom, and putting all the wood from the wardrobes out side in the garden, ready to go into the estate car up the tip, the day i picked the larsen trap up off john, i put it out side for a hour before i intended to take it up the farm, then comes in my son in law, and asks me if he wants me to load up the car with all the wood out side, i said yes while i had me grub, a hour later, i looked for larsen trap, could not see it, i asked him if he had picked up anything from out side the door,, he said i got that bog box thing, it was a right pain trying to smash up into bits to get in the car,lol,, not his fault, it was mine, what could i do but laugh, anyway, getting back to john b, thanks for the clips for joining wore together, andpliers, and for those whonever used them before, they make life so much easier if you used with the pliers john supplys,, just got to catch me a few squirrels now

Id also like to say a big thank you to JohnB.. He has been extremly helpful in giving me advice, his book is fabulous and even for someone like me that doesn't do much building of anything it made great sense, great pictures and cutting guides, fantastic book!

 

Id also like to say thank you for sorting me out with some genuine fenn traps, i haven't seen them for sale anywhere else and after one of my cheap mk4s fell to pieces and i needed some quickly i spoke to John and placed my order and as i needed them quickly he went above and beyond the call of duty and as we live fairly near to one another he came and delivered them personally by hand that very same day!

 

The traps are fantastic quality and i can really see the differance in quality, some of my cheap mk4s had problems with the plates sticking up in the air, the genuine Fenns plates sit perfectly at the correct height, have more clout in the springs and are made of better quality steel.

 

Id like to say a massive thank you to John for all his help and his fantastic service. I will never buy a different fenn type trap now, the genuine fenns are fantastic and well worth the extra money for the quality you recieve, i wouldnt buy cheap copies again. I haven't read a better book on the making of traps than Johns book, it really is great for the novice or experianced person interetsed in bulding their own traps, there is no compicated jargon and it all makes sense.

 

Huge thank you John for eveyrthing, if your contemplating wether to buy anything id say go for it! You will not be disapointed with the quality of his products or the fantastic service you recieve!
