Yes i understand the process of how DNA testing is done but what im saying is unless they have a data base of Hh reared in captivity and hence something to check the dna against it would be completely useless?? How would they know that the parents and parents before them were not illegally imported?? And with the number of HarrisHawks breeders in this country i doubt there would be any market at all for imported smuggled birds because there really is no need for them? it would be like trying to import smuggled dogs...pointless! The RSPB know this which is why i think they arent taking much interest in testing your chicks.

Well very interesting Mr Wolf I mean Mr fox. Now if I can clearly explain, my comments were in tongue and cheek with a bit of sarcasm in relation to the single locus probes that did not work and were used to send men to jail. Now that is fact, simple put and true.

 

Now what birds do you fly?

 

Oh right, wasnt aware you were being sarcastic, but am i right in thinking one of those men was you? which would explain your interest in it? Have flown Harrises for a few years, falcons with various friends and am taking on a Tribred myself this season, yourself?

Someone who uses the term tribred must have some degree of experience of birds of prey. You should see Mark he produces some of the best in the world.

Mark as in Mark Robb? If so i know he has a very good reputation. It was a serious question but wasnt derogatory or judging in any way was just out of interest.
