Silver Ferret's

Recommended Posts

I've got a couple of litters of silver and black eyed white's here at the moment and want to keep only this line for the future but i'm not too sure whats the best way to do it ............... the silver hob I have at the moment I think needs to go and I should keep a silver hob from one litter then keep a couple of silver jills from the other litter and use these for breeding in the future ? ? ? but I have also been told that you cannot mate silvers together but would half brother and sister be ok ? or should I keep a couple of black eyed white jills and use the silver hob on these ? ?:blink:

any suggestions appreciated

Thanks Mike

half brothers and sisters are ok but it dont feel right  never heard problems with silvers mating tho

if you want to keep low numbers keep back hobs and outcross them when you want a litter ive been using an albino hob with sandy jills and the kits come out at a 50 50 colour ratio although some of the sandys come out with red eyes
