im gonna be getting chickens sometime next week and was wondering about what measures to take against the fox which comes into the garden. can i set snares as i know the route it takes? theres no cats around.cheers.

Snares are a good option if you can be sure you will not catch anything else. A cage trap is a good option too but can be a very expensive purchase.

id also think about electrc fencing too mate.you will never kill all of the foxes. have you got something to dispatch it with ?

thats the problem,i havnt got anything to dispatch it with,not humanely.thats why the snares seemed to be a good option. i know what your saying about not being able to totaly get rid of em,its heaving with em round here.

if its in your garden mate then you will probabley have to dipatch it mate . . . try the electric fencing
