hughesey1552 0
just been looking on the daystate website and caught a glimpse of the airwolf MVT. This realy does look like the ultimate hunting rifle, even I dare say better than timelord's Rapid . If any of you havent seen it is has an LCD display which tells you the velocity of the last shot, how mnay shots yu have left in the buddy bottle and also how many shots left in the mag. You can also adjust the velocity of the shot on the rifle so say if your shooting in a barn you could dial the power down then you dont damage the roof etc. You get 597 shots from a fill in .177 aswell. The only problem seems to be the price lol £1220 !!! Just wonderign has anyone actually shot one as it could just be daystate blowing their own trumpet lol. Hughesey Quote Link to post

Hughesey There's no way that these rifles can get 597 Full powered shots from a 400cc or 500cc buddy bottle even with this fancy electronic gizmo, after my 3 year warranty runs out on my Rapid I'll be getting KevG (the gun guru) to regulate my rifle further as some say he can get over 600 Full powered shots in the S-TYPE with a 500cc bottle. I've just looked on the Daystate website right now and the MVT in 12ft/lb holds 450 shots in the 500cc bottle Daystate MVT specs scroll half way down the page to see this. So your wild claim of 597 shots in .177 caliber must be a misread or a typo on your part, check the link if you don't believe me... Quote Link to post
hughesey1552 0
no i got that figure out of the airgunner reivew of the gun... http://www.daystate.co.uk/images/reviews/AirWolfMVTa.pdf (bottom right of the second page) Dont take it personally timelord I only said it in jest but it does seem to me like it could be the best gun available ... on paper anyway, thats why i was asking if anybody had used one. Does the bipod come included with the S-Type? Hughesey Edited March 9, 2009 by hughesey1552 Quote Link to post
Timelord 0
no i got that figure out of the airgunner reivew of the gun... http://www.daystate.co.uk/images/reviews/AirWolfMVTa.pdf (you'll have to copy and paste it as i cant find the hyperlink button :s) dont take it personally timelord i only said it in jest but it does seem to me like it could be the best gun available ... on paper anyway. Does the bipod come included with the S-Type? Hughesey No offence taken buddy and maybe this review is from a very good gun or a biased reviewer?? But Daystate clearly state 450 shots in .177 cal. The S-TYPE as standard comes with a genuine Harris bipod and of course the 17 shot magazine as standard too. Theoben have patented the 12 shot and 17 shot magazine systems so that no other company can make their own or copy this design. 17 shots in the field on a hunting trip is ever so reassuring too. I carry 3 magazines with me on my trips which is more than enough, I'm lucky to empty 1 and a half mags on the average trip. If I wanted another rifle then I would not turn my nose up to the Daystate MVT and I'm sure I would enjoy it but I would miss the 17 shots in a magazine as 10 shots is not enough now as I've gotten used to the Theoben mags.... Could even screw cut the barrell but I'm unsure whether the barrell comes off the rest or the gun and theres some thing called "crowning?" I wouldhave to have a proper read up before hand.
