mine tried to attack them..

these ducklings i had - 12 - were incubated by their mother, but as they hatched ants were trying to eat them. i couldnt stand that so i gathered up all the eggs, put them in a box, and brought them in the house under a heat lamp.

once they were all hatched, and fluffy, and had a few days of feed on them i tried to put them back outside with the other ducks. they werent having it. the adults hissed and chased them..... so back inside they went until i could build a pen of their own.

i'm no expert. i'm learning as i go.... my ducks are pekings and i've heard they dont make the best of parents anyway.

I don't think anyone can give a good answer to this. Ducks can be friendly or miserable beggars, they vary like people.

Assuming you have bought some ducklings, or are going to, what about splitting your pen or making a wire cage for them.

The ducklings can then be safely put with the adults (haven't you only one left?) and you can observe behavior. If all seems ok then let them mingle freely.

Good luck.
