Hi All,

Been reading the other posts about biting ferrets - mine is biting me and the other Jill but she is NOT pregnant (they have both been taken out of season by a Hoblet). Is it the time of year or a phantom pregnancy? Or something worse?

Shes really interested in the other Jill's neck and keeps getting hold of her and following her around all the time (have now separated them). They are both great to handle normally - especially the one in question, but she bit me for real today (1st time) and I was'nt doing anything that would warrant a chew!

Help!!!

It could be a phatom pregnancy. probably hormonal, she's been mated and wondering where her babys are. Could it be she's Mothering the other Jill?

Unless she's really making a mess of the other Jills neck(making it sore) I wouldn't keep them apart for too long.

Regards Rob

I'm having the same problem with one of my jills.

She was jill jabbed exactly 6 weeks ago and today began harassing the jill she lives with, dragging her round etc.

Can the jabs create a pseudo-pregnangy type thing, even though she's not been mated/hobbled?

Cheers

Ferret

Jills are the most mental things ive ever come across ,ever, ever

My two are absolutely crazy, off their heads, kamikaze feckin eejits :icon_eek::blink:

And its all down to hormones :o cos they think they should be breeding and/or rearing young their hormones is all going mental, which in turn makes them act mental.

Its a bit like when yer mam/wife/girlfriend/sister is due her rags and she is a nutter the week before or the week its due :laugh:

It dont matter if they have been jabbed or serviced by a 'jaffa hob' they still go mental :laugh:
