TIMMAY 6
Haven't been out much with the air rifle of late due to having a young pup to pander to, but a couple of weeks ago i went out lamping in the p155ing down rain. Left the gun out until it appeared to be dry, then wiped down the exterior with some silicon oil. Took it out yesterday, and when i cocked the barrel, i saw there was rust on the barrel side and piston side of the breech. So what to do i understand shouldn't use silicon on metal to metal areas, so should i rub a little gun oil in the area, or will that cause rubber seals to wear? Sorry if any of this has been covered before/are stupid questions, i have searched on the subject, but find lubes all quite confusing! Quote Link to post
