The Canicalm dog bark limiter saved my dogs life

My Lurcher was the noisiest dog I have ever seen and he was this way from a pup. I can’t see that I could have done anything more to modify his behaviour than I did. My family were at their wits end and once I reached the six month mark the recommended minimum age I sent for the collar. Had I not been able to do this then I would have had to have him put to sleep none of the decent dog men I know would have taken him and would have sent him on the merry go round of dog dealers to be mistreated and abused. Now he is three and has done me proud as a hunting dog and at a few shows winning racing and showing. He does not make noise when hunting he is biddable and intelligent obeys verbal commands hand signals the lot but I could not get him to stop being vocal when excited or a cat or especially a magpie lands in the garden.

I can see no bad effects of the collar and my dog is not in any way affected except it has reduced his barking and whining and when on at night he is totally silent. I also put it on him in the vehicle when heading out lamping as this is one time he really is bad, I don’t lamp from a vehicle so once we park up he is out on the slip and collar off.

The collar is not really electric it is more static, i tested it on myself full power when I got it, it is not nice but not that bad. I felt a bit bad when I put it on the first time but the effects were instant and I followed the instructions and saw results. I recommend these collars, the RSPCA is trying to ban them I say get one now. My first collar had to be replaced recently due to moisture damage after 2 1/2 years of use. I recommend you tape the unit up with insulating tape around the join over the screw and over the rubber control caps. If all else has failed get one of these collars and as long the dog is six months old the younger the better.

this here is a blue one which my mate brought it round last nite not used it yet,i was worried as my dog is 6yr old i did'nt want him doing back flips in the kennel if i put it on its got 3 settings on it but my mate could'nt remember what setting what , he said i had to just try it.

weve used both the citronella and the electric buzzer, when we borrowed the electric one off of a mate he was trying to see if it worked with it on my hand, it wasnt so he kept on putting it up, up to full power (18) and still not working, he was pushing the wrong button so that he could get it to full, then he pushed the button and gave me a shock, but it aint that powerful IF YOURE EXPECTING IT, we had it on the dog at 1 or 2 the faggots lol
