PERMISSION HUNT

Recommended Posts

Never mind trying 2 hunt wildlife, ive been forced to change my prey and now i am a unrelenting permission hunter.......a unsucsessful one at that!

ive had air-rifle shooting permission for a while now, which was never a real dificulty to find. i have since upgraded to shotgun!!thats were all the problems started!

i have asked in person what feels like hundred of farmers and small holding for permission to shoot pigeon or rabit on land within a 20miles radius 2 were i live. ALso i have sent nearing 50 letters to those further a feild and closer.....(these have included buisness cards, permission slips and copies of insurance details)

All to NO REPLY! and furthermore to add insult to injury i have alos lost all of a number of airrifle permissions due to land re-development which seems 2 have plagued me!

so im all dressed up and no were to go!

please help...... any hints tips? anything at all because im lost! :icon_eek:

are you saying.. that you sent out letters asking for shooting permission?? if so i would personally go out and ask the farmers face to face.. you have far more chance this way!! :good: first impreesions etc!!

it's blody hard work geting permision tony and sometimes it,s hard to keep ive lost three good areas to syndicates one was an area where we used to get a lot of pigeon and the deer that was there would have made a great stalking area , i was lucky enough to meet someone that finished with dog's when the hunting *** came in and he asked me how good the rifle was that i had and when he saw how effective it was that was it i now have permision in the west of scotland down to the north east of england but before that it was hard work we spent a full day driving around scotland and got nothing ,so if you can team up with someone it may help , but dont give up , where i live there are too many shooting that's why we have to travel upto 200 mile round trip's to get any good shooting ,we also offer to do work for the farmer's such as concrete new barn floors etc that help's quite a bit
