Coneytrappr 30
How about digging yourself a fresh tunnel near where you know it's running, chucking some bait [back end of a rabbit, some fish or whatever] down it and then setting the trap in the tunnel, in front of the bait. I would think that the combination of a freshly dug tunnel and bait would catch some interest. You could put in as many of these sets as you like to maximise chances. Quote Link to post
osimons89 0
hi i worked on a trout farm and fly fishery for a few years. the best way by far to catch mink is with a floating tunnel trap. they are normaly a sheet of foam beetween to sheets of ply bord if you cut a hole in the middle of the floating platform under the tunnel built in the middle. you can drop a box in with clay in it for a few weeks and have a look at the prints this will save on the time of haveing to check a live trap every day if it isnt going to work in that place, plus it will let you know if u have any non target animals there. if you do i suggest useing a live catch trap. if you are sure it is just the mink then a good MK6 fenn is spot on for the job. you can see plans here from the GCT web site www.gct.org.uk/uploads/minkrafthighres.pdf Good luck hope you get the little sods Edited February 9, 2009 by osimons89 Quote Link to post
