hilly 6
Hi all just been given a glove, but its been sat in the damp for a while and as you guess its mouldy and stiff. Whats the best way to clean it and then protect it? Many thanks, Hilly. Quote Link to post
jasper65 6
Spray it with Virkon mate to kill and nasty stuff that might be on there! let it dry out and then grease or neats foot oil the glove.. this was a old Jess Grease recipe I still use now that might do the trick: 1oz of Beeswax 2 1/2 oz's of white Clear Candle Wax 3 oz's of Liquid Parafin 2oz's of Neats Foot Oil shove it all in a pan until melted stirring until all is disolved and melted, stick in a jar or something and leave to cool until its set, if for some reason its still to thick/Hard it will need to be melted again with more Neats foot oil added... To get it out of the jar again stand it in some Hot water to loosen it and empty it out.... Jasper Quote Link to post
