SwissTony 0
I have decided I have made enough purse nets for the time being and want to have a go at making a long net. I have been doing research on it, but can't find a straight forward how to guide. I am assuming to start the net, its basically the same as a purse net. How many loops on the ring/loop of string do I need, I believe the net width should be between 12 and 14 meshes, does that mean I need to do 13-15 loops on the ring? Once you have made a few yards, what do you do with the finish part while you carry on knitting, just wrap it round something? Is it ok to run a loop of nylon draw cord though meshes, then attach to a solid object to keep tension, or will this make the meshes uneven? Colour choice, I have 1 spool of darkish green spun poly and 2 yellow, which would be the better colour to use? I will be ordering more as 1-2 spools won't go very far. Anything else I have missed?? Thanks for any help. Quote Link to post
