question on papers - dogs

if someone was selling what they say is a pure dog , say pure saluki , but doesnt have the papers as they are so called lost ect , is there a way to find out the truth and get them and so on ?

do you mean the pedigree or the kc registration papers? Only the dogs owners can get them from the KC. Unless the litter and the individual was registered at the time of breeding (or within 12 months of birth) by breeder, then its too late.
