klarakoi 0
Hi everyone, For all you lovers of the Hatsans here's my 135 that has now been fully chopped, in the two photos you will see in the top picture the barrel length is 15 inches with a 2.5 inch reduction from the original 17.5 inches, Well I was very happy with the outcome, and the accuracy was a million miles better than me,, (I posted some pics of the accuracy) anyway with my FAC rated silencer "different to the first picture" on the rifle it was still a massive 52 inches in total length and to me just didn't look right,, so today I set about reducing the barrel length again,, I settled on 11 inches in the end but with them extra 4 inches of the change was going to look great, well the first thing was to get the silencer adaptor off, (and what a nightmare that turned out to be it had become so tight that the only way was to drill it out,,after about an hour I managed to get it completely out and not damage it, so I then refinished the barrel and done a new crown, I replaced the adaptor put on the silencer and went out in the garden for a test and I couldn't believe my eyes, the lateral POA hadnt moved at all, but the horizontal was high by 4 inches,, but after a few clicks on the adjuster was bang back on POA,, At twenty metres I was smashing the little broken Christmas lights that I keep each year, I like shooting these and I always collect the burnt out ones,(sad I know) and then the rain came, so I ran in,, but in the next few days i'm going to do a full pellet power and accuracy test,, so watch this space,, The second picture is the finished item, all the best, Rob,, PS Sorry about the bad quality second picture, my good camara broke??? klarakoi 0
looks good mate! do you measure your barrel from the front of the breech block or the breech itself? Cheers mate, I always measure from the breach seal, that's an exact size then, but it looks a lot better dont you think,, because of the powerful spring I defo need the long FAC silencer as a cocking aid but its such a lovely rifle, looks so much better in the flesh? all the best, Rob.
