jonher 0
Hi, I've just recently bought a Bushnell Elite 4200 4-16x40 second hand. I'm soon to sight it in on my rifle, but I have a question regarding the original position of the lenses - if that makes any sense! I can see from the dials that they are numbered, I can see numbers 1 to 6 at the moment, I know they go further but I don't want to screw them too far incase I break it I don't have the manual and I can't find one online! I was wondering what was the original position of the dials before any adjustments had been made? I have the Burris Signature Zee Rings with the inserts so I was hoping to do as much of the adjustments on these before fiddling with the dials on the scope! Any help would be greatly appreciated Edited January 13, 2009 by jonher Quote Link to post
Mr Adventure 0
Sorry Mate but never heard of a Burris Elite......... Bushnell Elite yes. What you need to do to any second hand scope is to zero the dials. This is getting the reticile as centered as possible , turn the elivation dial to fully down and then fully up (counting the number of turns) then put the knob in the half way position do the same for left to right. Just make sure your mount and rings are set and tight. This will get the reticile as near central as possible, then you sight in the normal way. Quote Link to post
