Guest snatch flcc
Having just moved from London to a place not to far away but far enough away to be in the countryside I hadnt realised how much I missed walking my dogs in real countryside! For the last 4 years I have been walking them on busy roads and the local golfcourse all inside the M25 the only time they saw fields was when they were working which is about twice a week. Now to be fair there is a lot of fun to be had inside the M25 as there are plenty of rabbits, foxes and muntjac and in a way I got used to walking them in my area. A couple of weeks ago I moved to one of the shires and also managed to move my dogs to a friends farm within this shire 3 days ago. I went for a quick walk on Wednesday but didnt have the time to really appreciate then yesterday I was out for just over an hour with the dogs off the lead running freely across open countryside and for the first time in a long time I really enjoyed it as opposed to seeing it as something I had to do, being out in the open countryside is a beautiful feeling seeing your dogs playing and running free (something I have not done for a long time). I think in a way what I loved about walking my dogs when I first got them was just switching off and going off across the fields. I hadnt realy realised how much I missed it until this week and I know for certain I will never live inside the M25 again! I went out for my first early morning walk this morning, was in the field by about 6-15am and it was great, a lovely morning, my spaniel x put up a muntjac buck which my pup soon accidently caught, it is the first thing she has caught so I was well chuffed, then went on to see another 4 Muntjac, could have had more but decided to leave them. The farmer has said that they are everytwhere so he is happy for the population to be culled so all was good, also seen 4 hares which again I did not run but just seeing them makes you feel good. If you are luckily enough to live within the open country then I hope you appreciate it, it wasnt til I came back to it that I realised just how much I missed it. Now Im back I am staying! cheers Snatch Flcc Quote Link to post
