Poachers hunted over deer's death

 

Dogs are used to stalk the wild deer

Youths who used a pack of lurchers to kill a deer are being hunted by police.

The gang of up to five, aged between 14 and 16 and wearing combat jackets, were spotted in Guisborough Woods in east Cleveland before the carcass was found.

 

One of the young poachers was also spotted with a dead deer slung over his shoulder. It was discovered later on Saturday with severe neck wounds.

 

Police said there had been a spate of attacks and they believe deer are being hunted for sport and their meat.

 

Under the Hunting Act 2004, poachers can be fined up to £5,000.

 

'Carcass discovered'

 

Langbaurgh wildlife officer, Pc Ian Soloman, said the gang was seen in the woods on Saturday morning.

 

He said: "A local farmer discovered the carcass which showed a severe injury to the neck and other wounds consistent with an attack by dogs.

 

"This was an appalling incident. I believe the people responsible are local and I would appeal for anyone who can help to get in touch."

 

Councillor Graham Jeffrey, Redcar and Cleveland Council cabinet member for rural affairs, said: "This is not only a crime against wildlife but a crime against the community."

the article is a load of shit me and a mate went at 6 in the morning with 2 dogs not a f*****g gang and at the side of a wood my mates dog pulled a roe buck which was quickly killed i then gutted it. Now we were 6miles from home and i carried it 5 of the fuckers the hard way home to avoid being seen and a c**t of a walker seen us so i hid the deer the best i could and the next thing we know the pigs are flying up road but we got away from the thick c**ts.the deer in the picture as also been made to look a mess cos theve cut it and that to make it look like it was mauled but it was a f****n clean kill.And now im not allowed my new bullx pup cos me dad doesnt want anymore trouble,but ill tell ya one thing [bANNED TEXT] i have my own place i will carry on taking hare fox and deer [bANNED TEXT] all the people who dont understand tell us we shouldnt.so lads keep hunting and f**k em all.
