powderpuff girl 13 Posted January 8, 2009 Report Share Posted January 8, 2009 hi im a little confussed over docking law can any 1 help please iv got a litter of jacks on they are vet docked i got certificate of vet when he did them . but iv now been told by a freind that i must go to a vet and have them chipped before i can let them go . is this correct or can i let em go and the new owner get them chipped any one know Quote Link to post

I believe the law is that when legally docked they have to be microchipped before they are 6months old. I have heard that some people leave it up to their new owners but the problem lies that your name is on the docking certificate and if they don't have it done it will come back on you. Where abouts are you? I am a qualified microchipper in essex and do pups at £10 each. most vets charge anywhere from £15-£30. Quote Link to post
