ok i decided to have a clean of my mk1 unit and took the lid off only too see that the grey (granit?) bit that the wire goes round has broken i put the lid back on and got the collor put the collor on the floor and went over it on 4 foot it worked fine just a little off side...... so it dosent seem to be affecting it all that much.... i got some super glue and glued it will that do?

Not sure to be honest, been looking at that bit for a while and leave well alone.

Does anybody know what that bit is made of, and how it works?

iv got two boxes they never let me down yet a bit out of perfect like but not let me down... might have too upgrade to the mk3 now...

i think it is granit... god knows how it broke im very very carefull with my boxes... anyway it hasnt hurt its lovating abilitys at all... anyone know if i can get a spare and too why there booth a little out of range?

some times if you spin the wheel a little too fast they lose calibration a little. you should be able to reset it if it gets too bad, all you need is a tape measure and a flat point screw driver.
