a good saturday

went out with a friend last saturday morning with his lakeland and 12 month old pup

 

 

first earth we got to had bein dug recently so had no joy so we went a few miles up the road to another few in a woods that we hadnt tried in a while.when we got down to them the dog started to get excited so we left him off but instead he ran off up the woods and we had no locater after about 20 min of searchin in heavy cover i could hear him baying dow in ground so we cleaed back some of the bush and foun the entrance to a nice earth that we didnt even know abouthad to search the old fashioned way to find him and after a half hour we dug down on him and he was locked on we pulled him out and left the pup have a look on the sod and she went in and worked for a few minutes before we pulled her out and shot the fox.thinkin this was our good morning hunting i started to back fill when the dog went to ground again and travled on about 10 yards and started bayin again down we dug and low and behold he was on again. dispatched the second one and finished filling in
