jasper65 6
yeah i know mate once bit twice shy this new contact i got what a guy mate go out and see his birds fly anytime hes not just a breeder he hunts them aswell they are all up around the 3 pound mark flying f*****g massive birds dont know if you know him mate his name is martin and hes from avonmouth I Probably know him or off him mate but the name doesn't ring a bell!! unless its a Martin I know out wales way who been down here flying who breeds a few . Not bad sizes them Turk! the mother to Millets birds flew around that size but my big female will top around 4lb . a lad on this forum from wales had a male off her which topped out around 2lb 7 - 8..... I just let the birds speak for themselves mate and don't boast about all this Big is better business like some breeders or falconers, if none make the weight when I take them out of the aviary then the prices comes down. to be Honest why falconers want great big females when a small female will do the same job is beyond me. thankfully my Finn birds will be off to spain again this year and save dealing with the "Big Willy" Numpties of the past, the Finn x Hungarians and Finn x Germans will stay in this country. the other problem is Most havn't got a clue about P/R accipiters and how to condition them either mate ... I forgot I'm keeping a couple of females back in this country .... Quote Link to post
jasper65 6
Millets finn male is nearly flying at the same weight that female was going at Jasper He's getting there now mate.. he is at 1lb 12 3/4oz today and really responsive to the fist i will be taking him to 1lb 13oz tomorrow and im sure he will be just as keen... .. Millet Nice one mate . you've made a cracking job of conditioning that bird and getting its weight pushed up to where it should be, not many these days get their head round conditioning a accipiter.... atb Jasper Quote Link to post
