Whats your opinion?

With a lot of conversation and pestering my mum has said i now have a 70% chance of getting a dog

but she says there is one problem

the dog will be alone from 9:00 till 5:00

if i do get it it will have a dog door and be allowed in the first floor only of the house and outside in the garden and alleyway.

I will be working it more or less every weekend, it will be running up to 30 kilometres a week with me and will be walked for half an hour every morning and 1 hour every evening.

My question is will it be unfair on the dog to leave it for this time ? because if it is i will not even think about it

Alright mate, if you've got a garden why not put up a kennel and run for the dog??? There's plenty of dogs that are kenneled through the day and in at night, it solves all the problems mate, once the dog is used to it, it'll be fine!!!

garden isn't huge don't kow if my mum would want a kennel and also it will be spending time in other poeples hosues so needs to be house trained

is this still possible in a kennel?

Yeah it is mate, mine are house trained but live in kennels, you'd only need a space of 10ft X 4ft for a kennel and run mate!!!!!

could i not put a dog bed in the house and it could choose if it wanted to go outside or in and do its buisness int he garden if needed ?

yeah he probably could, but people fit through dog flaps and not many lurchers are very guarding, a kennel would be easier mate, but its whatever suits you at the end of the day!!!!!!
